Yea, but he is talking about a fairly specific type of outlier. And if you look at the actual data, many power users have a great many things in common, they are not scattered randomly about.
the Supreme Court will only be taking this if they are not sure they agree. They really dislike getting a case and upholding it cause it wastes thier time and they always have a backlog of cases it seems.
Wouldn't you be able to change timestamps and stuff like that if you hacked a system? I know nothing of how OS X's filesystem works, but seems like that would be nigh impossible to stop.
I would look around Middle Georgia, Robins Air Force Base is pretty big (biggest employer in Georgia) and employs a whole lot of civilians, and then there are all the contractors, but if you go 30 min. out of town you are in amongst the farms, or there is alot of suburbia if you would rather that. If you are good it should not be a deal to get a job on base or with a contractor.
"We have the capability of injecting wonder, joy and levels of customization into a portable device so it becomes more like a companion or a friend to a lifestyle that uses digital technology."
Is it just me or does that sound like a certain minister of information?
Hrm, maybe in a decade or two we will be cheering microsoft on when some company tried to pull something like this again. (Hopefuly they will be making there money because thier software is worth paying for (kinda like I think IBM's is now), and not bad tactics)

I guess that is one way to make people pay for buying new computers, the better your computer gets, the faster the AI gets harder. (goodbye retro gaming a game like this)
I think they mean "visible" as in light of some kind has gotten to us, as opposed to all the stuff we cannot, and never will, see (14 billion light years at the moment, and creaping up oh so slowly)
Back in my day I had to write games in BASIC, on a 4.7Mhz computer with no hard disk and 128K of RAM. And I was grateful
I actualy programmed on something almost exactly twice that good about last year. My calculator. (TI-92+)
The worst one I have programmed on is a ti-102 ish (plug into the TV, cartridges). Then went to an apple ][, then calculators, then my nice shiny 2.2GHz P4. (bit odd progression for a Sophomore in College, I belive)
Security-enhanced Linux is being released under the same terms and conditions as the original sources. The release includes documentation and source code for both the system and some system utilities that were modified to make use of the new features. Participation with comments, constructive criticism, and/or improvements is welcome.
Waste of time this may be, it is still an interesting waste of time. I find it refreshing that occasionaly there are bits of complex math (and other stuff) that gets posted sometimes. And it makes my course work look easier.
else are we going to use the Internet's
bandwidth for? It's either DDOS attacks against
lame companies or downloading porn and pirated
MP3s and movies.

Ah, but people think they understand the Bible. No one even pretends about perl.

One of the others is about Microsoft, what is the last?
I have never had any problems upgrading kernels in Debian Testing at all.

So it all goes downhill from here?
How often does this happen in the math world? Seems like it could happen quite a bit, either before or after publishing.
You happen to have any of the additional examples of this you mentioned handy?
