Like most others we are dragged into the politicized software industry, but we are not the ones that caused this politicization. MS & Co are responsible for this, while you buy their products, they buy your political leaders.
You mean scum of the earth as in people driven away from their fishing grounds by big multinationals fishing emptying their fish grounds and polluting their sea with poison waste? Yeah real scum!!
I did not suffer 1 dime because of this, maybe they come to 100% because they only asked their own clients.
It shows 2 things, first they asked very selective (they didn't asked me for instance), and second, it shows how inherently insecure their products are (I am not their client and suffer none problems). Not that Norton or any other so called security solution can safe people from making bad security decisions, if you make the right decisions then you don't need their products in the first place.
My opinion is that managers who connect critical infra to internet instead of private networks should at least be jailed for 5-10 years.
What bothers me is that everybody assumes that judges are not corrupt, if something has been determined is that last 20 years a lot of participants in the US legal system are at least dubious.
In the US everybody has their price, is a more realistic view of things.
It depends on what ATI card you have, recently I bought a motherboard (ASUS M4A78-EM - Phenom II) with an integrated HR3200, I can tell you that all 3 ATI drivers perform bad. The driver that runs best (better said least bad) on it is the 2D only ATI driver, the RadeonHD driver does not run at all and the FireGL (proprietary) crashes all the time and does not run 3D either. I had to get my old Nvidea 6600 out of the closet (with which I did not yet try Nouveau), it does run 3D and GL without any trouble and rock solid on Nvidea's proprietary driver.
I hope at some point of course to take that card out again and being able to run proper ATI drivers, but at this point it's still an illusion for me.
Good workers are promoted out of their jobs and forced into management positions, this is a problem. Further it still seems that coders are accounted on the number of lines they produce instead of the quality and thoroughness. You can see this in things like 500MB of crap that is mandatory with a driver installment of your HP scanner.
It is very hard for managers to see the quality of coders that just want to keep growing scales inside their programming jobs, while making artificial caps on these scales and forcing people that want to grow further to do managerial work instead of what they really like to do and be good at. Often people that are forced up do their managerial work not really good because their hart is not in that.
Radio communication does not say it has to be over the air, it means that there is a carrier wave (in the wire) that has the signals put on top of just like radio.
Google will be evil as soon as the original people are ousted at some point, then in comes the new psychopath overlords that have only eye for the next 3 month financial statement.
It also seems like people from the US do not like their justice system to be criticized, but we know that a lot of US people agree that justice == revenge.

The staff probably has stocks in or other perks from MS.
Only you are not able to access them after your telco blocked your access to the internet on a supposedly 3 strikes out mechanism...
Sooner or later the internet as we know it is finished, they will do anything to get their power back, I mean ANYTHING!
Almost any industry lacks oversight in the US, that is why that place is a litigious wild west.
Nah, just interpret the arguments and stop your program when it goes out of type or range, never use arguments directly.
You mean scum of the earth as in people driven away from their fishing grounds by big multinationals fishing emptying their fish grounds and polluting their sea with poison waste? Yeah real scum!!
You mean too aggressive for their own good, if he could use a hardware weapon instead of a litigation weapon he probably would have used it.
I know a non technical solution which even generate jobs, bring back the physical counter...

It means that the citizens have the duty to make that scheme more expensive.
I agree with your trollish way of saying this:
Wars are not bad for everybody, hence they will never go away
Yes, but it also makes your GF less dependent on Windows overall.
I think most people are on Windows because they do not know better and are reluctant to move because strange things are scary.
By getting your GF used to Linux you make her less scary to use it.
Unless of course you changed it back to windows because she really does not like it, in that case you did the right thing.
You could have installed Virtualbox for these one off applications that really need windows...
It does not matter how hard it was/is.
This message of success will assure that many other outfits will have a try at it for various reasons.
It's the proverbial ghost out of the bottle.

For people outside the US, this whole cutting deals and plead bargain stuff reads like, the whole system of justice is corrupt to the bone by design.
It seems that law is not going to deter them from getting their way...
I'd say, don't let em surprise you either, trust is a very precious thing, don't waste it on any politician.
What part of apart can you not digest? It means you better distrust both.
