France Telecom is actually worse, they make their workers suicidal because they also try to suck the lives out of them, the management of France Telecom are vampires.
I also need money, but I am not joining a organization that kills other human beings. But hey, I also know that the average IQ of these people is low enough to make them believe anything, so if up to me I would not have them here at all with the help of select breeding, but then people will call me fascistic.
I use Audacious simply because it sounds better than VLC, somehow VLC sounds hazy and dull even when using it's equalizer. Further, any music application that enables me to remove my files by accident is a nono for me.
Tax the CEO's and shareholders, if they flee then tax their good or services through their nose, impose barriers to operate in your country to all fleeing companies, write these down as extra rules in treaties between countries.

I miss one thing in Vinagre that is there in the regular terminal, that is copy/paste from local or even virtual machine to the shell on the remote machine, yes I mainly work with ssh instead of vnc. I do like the bookmarks for remote sessions, saves a lot of time and typing the ssh command.
It is not really incomprehensible, the topic was about politicization of the software, I merely said that we (the OSS/FS) were dragged into that by the corps. Besides, it's my writing style to be concise, direct and to the point.
Probably litigation costs due to patented stuff they use inside their products. It's probably easier and cheaper to have a few people developing their closed source stuff instead.
But don't ask me, I am just a simple Linux user...
Sorry but for the large part you live in a 3rd world country, not a second one...

Yes, I live in a so-called socialist EU state, and yes I cannot say anything, but I do have a good health covering and basic rights to be able to survive adequate. (I am lower middle class)
Companies like this is exactly what Elliot et al. wants, liquidize and suck out the billion dollars and throw away the empty shell and all the workers, these hedge funds are the scum of this earth

In east asia the most important issue for management, more important than anything, is not losing face. Add to this the fact that the sons and daughters of the party are corrupt to the bone and hijacking all that wealth away from the citizens. This is a volatile mixture that will blow into the face when nothing is done to hide all that. It is simple as that.
Did you know that every day there are violent protests in some part of china? China is like a time-bomb ticking.
I lost 3 monitors because of a Mac that lullaby them to sleep to never wake up ever.
Macs either work or not, which is fine in itself, I do think they are boring, hence I use Linux.
No, why bring 1Gbs immediately instead of an elevated route to 1Gbs and make a shitload of money in the process?
These are the conflicting interests between you and the telecom company, besides all this nice equipment needs to be paid as well.
I am afraid though that most US based people will see these speeds in the 23rd century if the telecoms over there keep their current pace.
uhm... nobody, except for a very few work on all of the kernel code, most developers only have their own small niche within that development.
France Telecom is actually worse, they make their workers suicidal because they also try to suck the lives out of them, the management of France Telecom are vampires.
By assembling a movement that punishes politicians and vested interests faster than the FBI or CIA can infiltrate and dismantle.
And that makes it right?

wow you got some issues now don't ya?
I know exactly how corps work, besides the solution is is my answer, don't buy their stuff if you don't want their political influence.
Not too long ago I was modded troll for saying: while you buy their products, they buy your political leaders.

The real question that will arise is the following, would you like that job or would you like to be accepted by others?
Then we will force you to take the cure, you really don't want the cure? ok we will declare you unwilling or a mental case...

Because senators and representatives have stock them selfs, often with these behemoths.
A lot of these problems go away when you forbid these people to have stock while being representative for the state or US government.
