OMG it's a conspiracy!!!! It's another BushCheneyNeoConFascistMonarchyForOilHaliburton scandal to destroy the opposition and kill baby pandas!
How can they do this if they can't even search more than 2 people of any given race before the planes are boarded? (Don't you love political correctness?)
Or, better yet, what do those "Rich" people do with their money? They spend it. It goes to others. Econ 101.
Regardless, republicrats waste our money no matter who they get it from.
As for the California legislature, most people here in CA know what kind of loons they are. The local government has screwed up so bad that it is hardly cost-effective to live in CA, let alone start a business.
Socially very liberal in the "government shouldn't interfere with us in any way" manner, and economically very conservative in the "government shouldn't interfere with us in any way" manner.
... are you kidding? Just mention the word "Microsoft" and the entire/. crowd rallies for regulation.
And how often do I see articles and posts against corporations? Am I wrong?

Human beings have absolutely no idea what weather should really be like on a larger time scale.
I've seen a graph in a geography class of the earth's temperature dating back to hundreds of thousands of years (or more). Don't ask me how they got that.
It's interesting because you can see the very small constant temperature that we sit at on the graph, while the rest of the graph shows very large and sharp peaks and troughs.
I'm still not convinced that humans are causing earth's change, but it seems that even naturally, earth will resume that type of pattern whether we trigger it or not.
"You're going to be stopping a lane (or more) full of cars to try and contain a single offender
If he's speeding, chances are no one is close behind him.
And if they are, then they are probably speeding too.
And, I'm sure it won't happen with a speed of just 5 or 10 mph over the limit... Most stoplights with cameras to catch red light runners will only snap after a couple of seconds after the light turns red... (which is a long time).
I read an AP news story which said that Google will search through emails and spam your mailbox according to the subjects or words discussed in your emails. No Joke.
I submitted this story to slashdot today, but I think they're only interested in giving us April Fools jokes that aren't any good.
Along with the other reasons, it must be said that the XBOX was not successful enough (especially in Japan, where it counts) to need to be emulated in XBOX 2. It's a complete waste of money, if it's even possible.
I heard the BBC was more than slightly left, but that just depends on who you talk to, I guess. I live in California where the L.A. Times is absolutely, unarguably biased (not to mention the State is known for its liberalism) so I get pissed very easily if I think anyone doesn't formulate their own conclusions.
In any case, the whole "unpatriotic" thing that started is influencing the media for sure; But that doesn't necessarily mean that they are "avoiding" things. It's possible that they just stopped overblowing their special controversial coverage.
As for the Haliburton thing, I think that's one of the things on the left that's been spun quite a lot. In any case, do you really know how much we're getting with regards to the oil? We're just getting it cheaper, since we don't have to go through the middlemen any more. Anyway, that's the OTHER side of the story. Of course, I can't say what the real facts are, since I haven't done the research. In any case, the idea that we would go to war for just oil is ridiculous, and Bush wouldn't do that because he knew that his reelection would be F*cked when we knew that there was nothing found against Saddam. So, for the next few months, I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt and see what happens over there. For now, I'm not going to go assuming anything, because I'm not hypocrit. (not that you are)
I should've mentioned before that I live in CA... it's just nuts over here!
You raise good points, but let me say this: We'll see what happens in Iraq.
And yes, I've read 1984. I know what you're talking about. But, you're also walking the line between 'what's right' and 'what's just a dumb conspiracy to bring pleasure to those without a life'. (I'm not implying that is you).
Good will always outweigh the bad? Remember Vietnam?
About all of the points you bring up: Most of it is left-wing and media talk. You know that the stations who are your friend are the same ones that get rich by blowing up rediculous stories.
First of all, I'm glad that you shose the subject line to further prove your point. ALthough, it just told me that you're in fact even more of a dipsh*t than before. Gee, now that you called me MonkeyBoy, I see your point.
Wow, that's a great photo. And that proves.... nothing (Think about it). You honestly think that our government is so well put-together and smart enough to make these massive-scale conspiracies? Do you know what drives conspiracy theorists? Maybe you should look that up... In the meantime, get a life.
I should've known better than to post anything on the Slashdot boards, where nerds like you run your mouth as if you're an all-knowing, supreme being.
I know that, genious. Now, tell me where in the constitution it says that we can't give the government the authority to do what's right.
"expert" ? I never said that.. In fact, if there's anything I've learned over the years, it's that I know very little about the world, and NEITHER DO YOU
So that's how you got first post...
Quake got me ready for an exciting career in the postal service

One wants to prevent your wife from knowing you're cheatin on her, the other wants to help you score with the babysitter
....and then force you to pay alimony out of your own pocket when you get divorced.
How can I type on something that is shaped like a tooth?
Personally, i'm waiting for one that is shaped like a breast.
"Don't be too paranoid about the patent problem"
What? Paranoid Slashdot readers? Never!
Where's my tinfoil hat....
Don't you pay taxes?

I may not have a lot of cache, but the RAM more than makes up for it in the bedroom

CA doesn't want 14 year olds to vote, CA Legislators (Democrats) want 14 year olds to vote. Go figure.
He reviewed it on his website. Or 'reviewed' it. You should read his Star Wars Galaxies and Sims Online reviews, while you're at it :D
What happened to YOUR supporting evidence? Are you exempt from requiring it?
XBOX and GameCube WERE failures -- In Japan, where it counts. And, as far as I know, they've lost money on those projects...
Along with the other reasons, it must be said that the XBOX was not successful enough (especially in Japan, where it counts) to need to be emulated in XBOX 2. It's a complete waste of money, if it's even possible.
