Insightful? How is the parent blather insightful? Obviously, no one will die because 911 systems are not run on Linux or OS X (should that become a reality, although I don't really think OS X plays much of a role in the world of 911), because obviously, everyone involved with 911 will be using M$ over Intel. Sure, this isn't the way it should be, but obviously if you run a 911 system and your software is made by M$, you will not be running it on Linux or OSX. Talk about meaningless blather, the parent should be modded "overrated".
I mean, who knew that China filtered internet content? I'm glad that Slashdot was around to bring this to our attention! Who would have ever thought that such things where possible in country like China, where personal freedom and rights are the foundation of their very government? Who would have thought!
And this just begs the question: What are these people doing, where such that they could allow such a blunder? Isn't this the kind of mistakes that coked-up... Oh. Wait. This is NOT a Microsoft product? Oh. SORRY!
Ok, you keep on appreciating your flavorless beer. Personally, I, and all the brewmasters I know (Bridgeport, Rogue, Widmer, Pyramid, Portland Brewing, Redhook, Big Sky, Full Sail to name a few) enjoy using all malt and producing beer you can actually taste. But of course they aren't good brewers because they don't use rice, right?
I've never actually spent too much time thinking about the ESRB, although I find the two letters "AO" to be extremely exciting. Though I've often thought about "TD" and GH", and as a freshman in college, I always tried to use "IE" and "EG" as much as possible, I've been thinking that interspersing my conversation with random two and three, sometimes four letter random strings, will make me look so much more educated. Did I mention that I actually have a PHD in addition to my CSBS?
They are probably thinking along the lines of what Internet Explorer really is, an application platform. They will probably be marketing proprietary plug-ins and extensions for Firefox to run enterprise level applications in the browser like IE.
I couldn't disagree more with the author of this piece, since I think the success of Postgres & MySQL are already contra-proof positive, but the piece is still an interesting read.
For MySQL you could be right, but Postgres? It's not backed by a commercial group as is MySQL, and while it can be seen in a LOT of commercial (enterprise) situations, it's still a tiney speck compared to it's commercial backed friend MySQL (even though it is much more of a "real" db).
I$ that $o? I wa$n't aware of that, but in the future I'll follow that rule.

There is a difference?
Forget the p2p algorithm and the blackjack, I'll take the HASH!
In other words, blogware.
Makes sense to me.
Photoshop does not deal AT ALL with vector graphics. That's what Illustrator is for.
So it's BLOG software? I suppose in "fact" this is a CMS, but hardly what most pros think of when you say "CMS". Why not call it WHAT IT IS, blogware?
Many people don't share your view about PDF files.
That possibility has past.
Listen you insolent noob, I *am* Lord Nolife. I require the proper formalities and respects. That's LORD Nolife to you.

Not an escuse for NOT having a rating system.
Ah yes. the good old American beer snob.
No one ever said rice only. Just one of many parts.

If you are a brewer, and you ignore rice, you are not a good brewer.
Well, that's your story. But it does not jive with Google on the subject.
Rice is in LOTS of beer, not just Bud. In fact, it's in MOST beer...

Yes, but it's TEXT. Who needs anything more?
Bah. Mosaic. This "graphical" and "visual" crapola. Bah. Lynx is all that has ever been needed.
