Yes. Why move? Is there any reason other than the US is where _you_ came from? Job? Something else? Why not just visit now and than to get your U.S.A. fix?
The nifty thing about all this is that not only are they abusing the patent system to step on "our rights on line", they are going to perk up the ears of other corporate blood-sucker -- sorry, other virus protection "security" companies. Let THEM bitch-slap Symantec.
Every day should be fun and everything you do you should enjoy, you should be interested in, it should intrigue you. Because of this you shouldn't spend time doing something you dislike, that bores you, blaw blaw blaw blaw...
Nice platitudes, but none of these lofty thoughts will make much difference and certainly no sense when the rent is due and you aint got it. Sure there are acres and butt loads of "homeless" people who seem to have no problem with living on the street or at the whim of the kindness of others, but most homeless people would prefer not to be homeless. Don't even think about quiting your job.
So what? The FSF says it's officially an Open Source License. Not everyone "Open Source" likes the GPL, and the GPL is NOT the only "open source" license. Get a grip. Just because an Open Sourced application uses an Open Source License that is NOT GPL does not make the application developers heretics. Small closed minds...
So, YES, Gimp could use the Adobe UI, as long as it includes the "obnoxious advertising clause".
You mean "The above copyright notice and this permission notice shall be included in all copies or substantial portions of the Software"? I think most (all?) "open source" licenses have a similar requirement. Don't confuse your dislike for Adobe with reality.
If IE7 is released without the CSS and PNG issues of IE6 being addressed, as many sites that care about standards and can afford the trouble should block it's users from accessing the site, with a clear message about exactly why, and links to better browsers.
And how many sites will do this? Like close to NONE? Not a flame / troll, just being REALISTIC...
Ahh, and don't forget that when the time IE7 is released (hopefully in our lifetime), Firefow will have many new features.
IE7 will be out late this year, according to reports.
And, I'm sure there are many exceptions to my "average user", but I still say they will be in the minority of "average users" who will just go happily along with IE7...
If Microsoft doesn't put out a really good browser soon, firefox growth will go on strong I think.
Rumor has it that IE 7 will sport all the little whiz-bangs like tabbed browsing and so on that Firefox has. What this means is that the "average" non-techie user will see no difference, and there for no reason to migrate from IE 7, should they already have it. As well, I see a problem with a feature that most techies like, but the average user sees as a big hassle: Surfing the web, only to find that the base install requires a lot of plug-ins to be installed to open Flash, Real files, and all the other popular crap. My worthless two cents...
This whole thing of RAR not being in use by corporate IT, that it is used a lot by warez, I wonder if certain industry groups we all know and love, would use this type of delivery method to get back at software pirates?
That's what the OEM supplied Resurrection Disk is for (Microsoft has no interest in "saving" your installed programs or data)...

No, no, no... Blog = Mindless Blather That No One Is Really Interested In...

Do you masturbate to a picture of RMS?
Of course they will. They just have not been offered enough money.
MicroSloth says to themselves, "how much to buy vs. how much to sue". Obviously, The Sloth calculated the equasion correctly this time.

I saw that video. 2 out of 5 stars, the film quality was poor, the dialog was just tripe, the DVD encoding not top quality either.
Actually, my first thought was Windows XP...

Yes, I'm dense. But why is the parent "flamebait"?
I took this screen shot from FuckedCompany.co, so it must be true! See Here.
