I swear, back when I was using IE 3, whenever I typed in www.netscape.com it would come up with a page not found window. But the second time I went to it, it went there fine.

should it do the easy and intelligent thing and just stop working?

How is this intelligent? You know that before long, a crack will be out to get it working again. And if the person who went through the trouble of copying it in the first place, is really likely to know about cracks.

I think its just that everyone knows that girls mature faster than boys. So when they scientists were told to build a robot to a five year olds specs, the scientists said 'OK, robot boy building time,' because they wanted to slack off. Damn slackers *waiving fist in air*.

If you double the price and can get me a robot with all the capabilities of a 19 year old cheerleader, I'll call my congressman tonight.

Actually, I think that a robot built to a five year old's specs could match the capabilities of some 19 year old cheerleaders.

  12. call centres on Linux Gaining Ground In India · · Score: 3, Informative

Almost all of the UK's tech support call centres are located in India because it costs less. Since call centres require so many PCs, I wouldn't be suprised that they don't want to pay high MS prices for OSs. Linux to the rescue, especially for a somewhat poor country.

  13. tweaking for higher results on Search Engine Learns From User Feedback · · Score: 2, Insightful

Even though google uses PageRank, often sites are higher in the results are only there because they had the right keywords in the title. Sites like this have been tweaked with other similar tricks to score higher. Obviously, this new system would be able to get around this. Perhaps, when joined with Google, this could take over when PageRank fails to be applicable. Then we would have something great!
