Yet people don't want state health care because they dont want to pay the taxes.
People dont get that they already pay for their health care, just in a different way.
Now we might start losing jobs because of it, so those people wont get any health care at all.
Ironic is right.
Exactly, people tend to love capitalism and the market system, right up until it start working against them, even if it is only in the short term.
Besides, time and time again, history proves that growth around the world is a good thing. the more advanced these other countries get, the more markets we'll have.
Lower health regulations, safety regulations, and lower wage requirements are definite incentives to outsource, no matter who's outsourcing what where.
uh...KOTOR was not a sequel to jedi knight. its set in a copletely different time, AND has completely different gameplay, since its an RPG and not a third person, (or first depending on how you played). Using your arguement, you could say KOTOR was a sequel to Rogue Squadron or something...
One of the things people forget alot, when theyre talking about videogames with god p.o.v. or any game where you get to choose how violent to be or how good or evil, is that the choice belongs to the player, its not forced on them by the game. For example, in a game like Black and White, you can choose to be a good god, or a bad one. Or in KOTOR you can choose to be light side or dark side. What these games really do is show what people like to do in a situation without consequences, whether you may be preternaturally good, or evil. granted its not a perfect microcosm of life, but there is something here.
Maybe the game isn't whats fucked up, its us.
This actaully reminded me of when my brother tryed playing postal 2, and he was disgusted when he tasered a cop so much that she urinated on herself. Well, he didnt HAVE to do it that much, if he really hadnt wanted to.
Was anyone else impressed by the look of the tentacles, considering that they're made with puppetry and not CG? My brother's a puppetry major and he got some isinde info on it, i was kind of worried it would look like ass.
i disagree, for years i used windows at school, and apple at home (i have my own PC now, oh the joys of counter strike!:D). If anything, it was a good thing, it taught me how to use both systems, to an extent. And i think that some ofmy moronic classmates could use that. Besides, since when does what kids want matter? If it saves money, go for it. A 700 dollar eMac minus (i think) 150 dollars in educational discount, plus fewer staff requirements, and less network downtime, is a far better arguement than,"kids like windows." Also, i think userfriendlyness is important, because i cant tell you how many dumb questions i've had to answer from teachers.
F*ck kids.
wow, its true. all those years of saying it to my parents, not believeing it myself. and its true. craziness. surely a sign of the apocalypse.
p.s. first post!
seriously though, this is interesting. on the one hand, theres the scientific me who thinks its academically to kow how to build a cruise missile, then theres the anarchist me who thinks it might be fun to launch in the woods, and on my THIRD hand, theres the scared-straight-arrow me who thinks this post could be used against me in the future.
is as a communication tool. Thats why in the past 50 years we have invented more than at any other time in history. as the world becomes networked, it becomes easier to work together. problems on one side of the world are connected with resources on the other side.
Its the same thing with Wal-Mart and Microsoft and the rest of the mega-corporations.
They bitch and moan about their horrible business practices, but when the time comes to vote with their wallets, suddenly they dont care as much.
Screw it, i'm moving to a communist paradise. Any of those left? Any suggestions?

Thats probably a part of it, sad it is.

Well, there have been alot of accusations of that sort of thing, and i wouldn't be surprised.
Frankly, i think people ought to always just ask if theres a generic version, and force the doc to give them alternatives.
Is anyone else not surprised at all?
Businesses outsource, even tech ones, even biotech ones now.
Shocking.
Oh, and f1r57 p057!
People are awfully fond of pronouncing the death of religion, but they are almost never right. There are two ways that religion could survive this:
1-God created us, God created them.
2-Good old fashioned denial, e.g. creationism, age of the earth, flat world theory, and so on.
Never underestimate people's ability to suppress inconvenient realities.
does the fact that i'm currently stressed out about a computer programming project count as technology increasing stress?

then play windwaker for an hour, metroid prime for an hour, then never use it again, like my PS2 and Dreamcast. i'm more for computer gaming myself.
