That's my problem with all the kids that walk around in camouflage clothes these days. I never see them until it's too late and I've walked right into them.

Don't take it personally. The grandfather poster gave good advice even if your link was valid. I'll check out your link and probably use it (thanks), but not until I convince myself it is valid through other means.

Come off it. I don't necessarily agree with this, but "unalienable rights"?

"The term inalienable rights (or unalienable rights) refers to a set of human rights that are fundamental, are not awarded by human power, and cannot be surrendered. They are by definition, rights retained by the people. Inalienable rights may be defined as natural rights or human rights, but natural rights are not required by definition to be inalienable."

Well, if someone would invent a way to transfer electricity from one location to another, the station wouldn't have to be in the middle of the highway. Also, you wouldn't have to live in a power plant to have "electric lights" in your house.

Very common. I just purchased a house in Massachusetts, and I went to many towns' web sites to look at different houses. I was able to see a photo of the exterior of every single house. Also, I was able to see a sketch of the interior of many houses. So I not only know what your house looks like, I know where you crap and where your closet full of aluminum hats is.

This was probably planned from the start. It would be stupid to start at their target price when the market is willing to pay much more. Start high, wait for manufacturing to pass demand, drop price to initial target.

How was this bigot modded up to insightful? Of course there is going to be double standards in any country, especially so in one as large and diverse as the US. I'm a Canadian living in Boston right now. There is very little difference politically between Vancouver and Boston: Everyone smokes pot, gay marriage is legal, everyone hates Bush, and I have yet to find a single person that will argue against Darwin's theory of evolution. If you want to find a country where people don't have different opinions, maybe you should move to cold war era russia or something. Or just stay in the shell you live in now. As for being the world's largest producer and consumer of porn, please supply some references. I can't even find a good strip club around here.

That's idiotic. Anyone that doesn't know anything about computers would 1) select one of the bottom three, 2) never get the computer running, 3) assume the problem was with HP, and 4) buy dell next time. 5) repeat. The OS is integral to the PC experience and that's what HP is selling.

How was Google lucky? They came into an already saturated search market and collected a vast market share because they did a better job of it than everyone else. If you switched to Google in 1999 or 2000, it wasn't because there was nothing else available, and it wasn't because they had a great ad campaign; it was because of the word of mouth that a great product generates.
