    It's not a hard decision; just nuke it and move on with your life. What the message here is; if this is such a soul rendering thing for anyone, just one plain good reason not to buy refurbed drives. I never do, I always get new ones, there's really no good reason to buy a refurb. You know that by default the drive is going to have a shorter lifespan than a new one, and the price on drives isn't that horribly expensive. I frankly don't see a good reason to buy a refurb.

    Sword collectors are one thing, a Jedi instructor is... well, just kinda weird. You can't really train with an actual light saber, and you can't really choke people from a distance. Which only really leaves Ninja skills. So the best the guy can be is a a Ninja instructor, really.

    Sure, but in this case I think Lee is only being brought in as an expert witness, isn't he? He doesn't have to worry about any ruling. Still a waste of the man's time, in my opinion.

    Meanwhile, Berners-Lee, one of the guys who actually invented the internet, and probably couldn't care any less about all the legal nonsense, has to get dragged into court to testify. What a waste of time for the poor guy.

    The #1 reason why the US was quickly ruled out as my holiday destination this year is because of the horror stories like this.

    Hopefully. So, just having a huge police force wanking about fucking with people at random is your solution to your feelings of helpless rage at other drivers who MAY fuck with you? In my case the threat of litigation is much more an effective deterrent to smashing about and causing mayhem than anything the police have ever done to me. The only thing that cops have ever done to me/for me/with me is issue me tickets and generally waste my time. All that has done is piss me off and make me want to avoid cops.

    I find it difficult to understand how "Linux", being a loose consortium of code trees under no one's direct control, not even Torvalds', and who's chief product everyone has the source code to, would be in any position to suddenly pull some kind of magic lever and induce all users to start paying a license fee.

    Did you see the illustration in the article? The two main chip packages are pictured on the end of a guy's index finger. Sure, people like to difficult things, but come on! If you're not using the proper ($20,000 +) machine tools you're rate of failure is going to be +/- 90%... just buy the production package, for your own sanity man.
