IF this is widely adopted, place your bets on how long it takes for snoopers and sniffer to start stealing your sensitive data. I'm guessing a scant week after a city touts a complete success at a city-wide installation a report will come out on how a scammer scams that town out of kajillions.
Yep. Read its entry on wikipedia.org, a story I know to be true according to a friend of mine who was there. And this regarding the SLO police department;
"...warning parents that the image can indicate the presence of pedophiles.
Just think about how stupid that is. Since when has any jurisdiction put up a "Danger: Pedophiles in the area" sign, as though it were some kind of deer crossing. I should really never cease to be amazed by any governmental agencies ability to be stupid.
Uh huh. A thinly veiled appeal to creationism, another attempt to spin intelligent design as an actual, workable theory. You have to read through the crank's website to catch it, but then there it is, way down at the bottom of the site, an invocation of "the diety". Go suck a dick, Kemp.
It does seem to be a rather glowing review of a book that's going to have limited appeal. If it were a true reflection of the opinion of a critical technical reviewer I would expect less glow and more substance.
If it were to go your way then there would be no point in forming a Corp. Your throwing the baby out with the bath water. There are plainly good reasons to form a corporation. If you systemically remove anything that could be abused by people there would be nothing useful left. The remedy here is to repeal this ruling. This isn't the first time UK courts have made a plainly stupid judgment call with regard to ip law.
My experience is different. I recall spending hours on different wine configs for ONE windows application. I tossed my wine install years ago and never looked back after discovering virtualbox. Why bother with that cfg nightmare.
I'm no windows fan, been using Linux almost exclusively never the less, there was nothing in my original statement that isn't true. My wife can handle Windows. Asking her to try using wine would lead to hours of me looking up and trying to solve issues with WINE configuration. Done it before. never again.
Hey, this Barksdale guy was stupid & weird. He spied on teen users. The guy needs counseling. And he flushed a career with a top-flight company, good luck finding another position. Streisand effect in reverse. For what? That alone makes the story somewhat interesting. The self-destructive compulsions of the human animal are infinitely fascinating to me.
No need to be a dick. Its interesting that I make a non-disparaging remark about a country (presumably "yours") yet you act like I've slapped you in the face. Your best bet for success in life would probably be to grow up.
Then after the professor trots the dancing girls out of the giant bullet-capsule the moon will grimace and wince as the bullet-capsule will be stuck in one of his eyes.
So... if your Australian you have a number of hoops and checkpoints that verify who you are and record precisely what you are doing, but if your from Nigeria you're probably not going to be bothered much by the same series of checks.
Well, no, there are ways around paypud if you're selling on ebay. Now this developer, he was selling his warez on ebay? Don't think so. I think he was simply using ebay to collect his game profits.
I hold my nose every time I am forced to use paypal to make a payment to some one online because I bought something from them on ebay. These sellers are fine, I have no problem paying them. I just wish they knew that there are paypal alternatives out there. A few more stores like this and maybe they'll start noticing;
quote is from a movie. by disney. that disney self-bans (you cannot see that movie or rent it in the US).
"Song of the South". Disney was going to release it to home DVD in 2006 and then decided not to, then re-thought the decision, then re-thought the re-think. But you can get bootleg copies of it. Disney is probably a little nervous about the racial content, but its not any kind of inter-Disney conspiracy to not release it. They just aren't sure that the content isn't going to piss a bunch of people off, and the film isn't really that great to begin with.
Its about time, but this doesn't mean I'll actually be seeking Broadcom hardware now... for me, this is only insanely great if I buy a laptop (the only time I buy a name brand rig, btw, a little hard to make one from off-the-shelf components) that I really want and it includes a Broadcom wifi component. Otherwise, Broadcom can suck it, I really don't care for their crap all that much.
By the way, I have two of their bt dongles and both have worked in Ubuntu. They just won't go into bt ubiquitous mode (or chatter mode, or whatever its called when you tell a bt controller to show all messages). Again, I don't really care for the crap they push.
Don't tell me, tell the hundreds of banks who punish their customers after they get hacked.
Yeah. Its based on Wine. Forget it, my friends.

Wine is a nightmare to configure. The regular home user isn't going to put up with it. End of discussion.

Hear hear. And: Go get 'em, Mark.

I was wondering where I left that thing.

Was it GoDaddy?

Step #3: ???
Step #4: Profit!
Boy, that joke just never gets old, does it?
That's great. What do they do, see one of their member's accounts get kinda big and start figuring out ways to scam them? What a den of thieves.

That's just a few.

...I can only assume that gamers from Phuket, Thailand get the same treatment.
