The social security welfare system is there to take care of the elderly, and people who are truly wheelchair bound, not like the fake beggars downtown, who fold their legs up to look like it's a stump under their pants, then when they collected enough they fold it out and walk away, in a haha, got you suckers way. They are trying to kill the desktop to usher everyone onto the cloud based, will not run off the network, smart phone world, by potty training everyone on the desktop to use it like a smart phone. I like that my computers can run offline, with files stored offline, but the NSA and the like, don't. What if there is an economic crash, and a zombie apocalypse, and the internet goes down, and all my cloud based files halfway across the continent are inaccessible? How about if the cellular system crashes and goes down, how will I use my phone offline? I don't have smartphones, but the cellphones I have refuse to run without a SIM, or they run in 911 mode where I can't even look at the images stored on the phone's memory.
I install the two recovery DVD's full of garbage software crap on this HP Mini 200 or 210 Netbook, uninstall garbage crap, the whole process taking like 8-9 hrs, then switch to Linux, erase system volume information, recycled and the like, replace Program Files/Internet Explorer folder with a blank file so no folder of the same name can be recreated, and the like, media player, etc, all the snooping spyware crap that comes built in with Windows, then back up all the files from C drive. The next reinstal of this stripped down system, via a simple linux file copy takes like 15 minutes instead of 9 hours. Oh and I use Lighthouse Puppy 4.1.2rc1 for this. Yes, rc1, because as soon as I started using it, the project was hijacked by impostors, and even rc2 was crap. And the latest puppy linuxes named Lupu, Wary, Quirky are downright mocking in their names, so obviously the project is hijacked, you can tell simply by the shit smeared names they give their releases.

It is not insane to assume a long term policy cost of $900/mo against that income, especially if that income has to support a family of a couple kids plus a stay at home mom, and even for individuals even yesteryear that, or something similar like 650/mo, was a common policy price, even in the absence of forced purchases by law, or the government pitching in to pay the outstanding amounts. So $900/mo is not an unreasonable to think of price per policy long term down the road. For now the fairy tale bullshit is that Obamacare only requires you to pay up to 10% of your income into the private company healthcare insurance policy premium, which at 1280/mo gross (yeah,gross, they forget about taxes like social security and medicare that get deducted irregardless of whether you have to pay zero income tax or not, or even get earned income credit), so that's $128/mo, and the outstanding $800/mo or so the government will pay from the tax funds into the policy, under your name. $800 from month paid from the taxes, when nearly everyone is minimum wage or close, and they are happy as hell to even have a job, let alone complain about the wages? Unfortunately being an FBI employee is not a simple way to live where easy rules of thumb apply, such as, do not lie, so, like Rain Man, when the semaphore says "do not walk", you stop walking in the middle of the street and all the cars start screaming their horns at you because you're an idiot. Similar is the situation with mosquitoes in the old country, where I caught like 100 each night before going to sleep with a clear plastic jar, and smacked them around in the jar, and I'd end up with like a fistful of mosquito carcasses each evening after like 20 minutes of hunting, and even then when I went to bed, I'd have to rig a mummy-like sleep setup, in the middle of the hot summer, where I'd put a pillow on my head, and a bed sheet stretched from the head to the toe tight, with ample filtering area and breathing space under it. Sometimes I would not move around all night and wake up in the same position I'd gone to sleep in, and in the morning light you'd wake up to seeing little mosquito suckers sticking through the bed sheet, pulled back stuck through a different spot, probing, they could sense the body infrared heat under the sheets, and they could smell the CO2 I exhaled, but I would not have a single mosquito bite by the morning, unlike when I tossed around, and removed the bedsheet from my head, where I'd end up with at least 25 mosquito bites each morning all over my arms and face, even after I hunted every single one I could find on the walls with the plastic jar. Not one mosquito ran from the plastic jar, it's like they can't see it at all if it's clear plastic, only hear the thud when the lip closes around them on the wall and fly deep into the jar. It was like a really boring and mundane chore each evening, and no insect repellent sprays like DEET did not really help. I felt sick a bit from them and I'd still wake up with a bunch of mosquito bites. I had no problem killing mosquitoes under such circumstances of overabundance, but where I live now, I have not seen mosquitoes for years, except out in the countryside, and if I catch one inside, in the city, with a glass or plastic jar, I toss it outside the window and let it go. A private grid is almost guaranteed not to fail if it can extract sufficient profit, profit is a great motivator to keep things working, however, because a grid is a natural monopoly, or very low number of players oligopoly, price abuse can be rampant to where natural monopolies require government regulation. Then it becomes a very delicate balance, and only with very intelligent and uncorruptable politicians or government agents (intelligence and uncorruptability seem to go hand in hand, if you look at the poorest cities where the elected representatives tend to be the dumbest too compared to other cities, that's where corruption is also the worst). So if you get good captains both representing the government and the private interests, a fair price can be worked out. Bribed government officials let loose on price abuse, while overbearing government that does not allow enough profit to be made takes away the motivation to do good business and care about keeping the grid from brownouts and just general decay (like rent control did in NYC, the buildings went to shit.) It requires two very intelligent actors on both sides, and if one of them is dumb (which is preferred to be on the private side, because the government is the ultimate dictator, if only officials were not changed like diapers), it can easily become a mess.
By the way I would not accept a tax on energy production, as in an off grid scenario, or even grid tied scenario, and business income or even personal income from power supplied to the grid is already covered by tax laws. As in sometimes I don't even know or care how much power is produced, as the case of windmills that pump water for cattle is, direct mechanical to mechanical connection, it's cheap, and hard to estimate true power, as some of it may go to waste is the pump leaks liquid back. And a windmill to electric to mechanical motor pump would be possible to measure, but it would be silly, or even taxing people on how much it generates. If they sold the windmill power to the grid, and got $100 for a certain amount at one time, or only $2 for the same amount at other time, they should be taxes on the income generated not the amount of power generated, and such income generation is already covered by tax laws. The social security welfare system is there to take care of the elderly, and people who are truly wheelchair bound, not like the fake beggars downtown, who fold their legs up to look like it's a stump under their pants, then when they collected enough they fold it out and walk away, in a haha, got you suckers way. They are trying to kill the desktop to usher everyone onto the cloud based, will not run off the network, smart phone world, by potty training everyone on the desktop to use it like a smart phone. I like that my computers can run offline, with files stored offline, but the NSA and the like, don't. What if there is an economic crash, and a zombie apocalypse, and the internet goes down, and all my cloud based files halfway across the continent are inaccessible? How about if the cellular system crashes and goes down, how will I use my phone offline? I don't have smartphones, but the cellphones I have refuse to run without a SIM, or they run in 911 mode where I can't even look at the images stored on the phone's memory.
I install the two recovery DVD's full of garbage software crap on this HP Mini 200 or 210 Netbook, uninstall garbage crap, the whole process taking like 8-9 hrs, then switch to Linux, erase system volume information, recycled and the like, replace Program Files/Internet Explorer folder with a blank file so no folder of the same name can be recreated, and the like, media player, etc, all the snooping spyware crap that comes built in with Windows, then back up all the files from C drive. The next reinstal of this stripped down system, via a simple linux file copy takes like 15 minutes instead of 9 hours. Oh and I use Lighthouse Puppy 4.1.2rc1 for this. Yes, rc1, because as soon as I started using it, the project was hijacked by impostors, and even rc2 was crap. And the latest puppy linuxes named Lupu, Wary, Quirky are downright mocking in their names, so obviously the project is hijacked, you can tell simply by the shit smeared names they give their releases.

But bringing back classic things is a good move, but only if they can cut the code size too to classic codesizes. For instance I thoroughly despise dotnet and refuse to run it or anything dependent on it on any of my windows computers, but if they could cut the runtime size to 55 KB, I'd be like "Yay, dotnet! Gimme more of this lovely stuff!" But as long as the runtime is over 2 MB I'm treating it like an infection plague and not willing to touch it with a 10 foot stick.
