I'm not implying that this should in any way taint his results. I just found it interesting that Doug Lea was mentioned in this thread by someone listing the pros of Java, and the connection was never made.

Ok, am I the only one who sees the problem with this logic? What "casual gamer" would spend $1000 on such a thing? When I think casual gamer, I think of someone who debates whether spending $49 on a new game is worth it.
And even if you had gotten the name correct, you're like the 4th person to try that played out "insider" Star Wars joke already. Who gives a **** who shoots first?
