A "binary" does not ultimately mean an executable. A binary, as you probobly know, can be any binary file sutch as a PNG image or compressed text file. The defenition is monolithic, so I can already see a mod disagreeing with me.
A lot of astronomers, scientists, and general hobyists were in great doubt that black holes even exist. Now a lot more people will be more interasted in the field (or area) of this study. I, on the other hand, was confident. It just makes great sence to me.
I think we are all aware that Microsoft makes great Linux distributions (no need to point out the link here -- you already know it, for it has consumed you.)
Why not patent *.* then? That way, you get money any time anyone uses any file at all.
Anyway, they are not patenting file types, but the whole principle of script automation in XML files. If you ask me, this is nothing good at all -- no one is planning on stealing microsofts inventions anyway.
Hey, thanks for the help guys. I will use that next time I upgrade. I forgot to say that I use Gentoo, and prefer their patches, so I need to wait for the Gentoo developers to relese their version of the patched kernel. Righ now the 2.6 tree is of version 2.6.1, but the latest stable is 2.6.2. I tried patching today, but the 2.6.2 patches do not fit well with the Gentoo patches.
I have never compiled my kernel before, and today I jsut compiled the 2.4 version, installed and later compiled 2.6.1 and installed... all without any problems.
Enough rant;)
I just like the config file method. Does this mean that I can keep my config file (for compiling the kernel) when I upgrade to the next stable? (keeping in mind that I have it customized)
I read the first chapter before my brain decided to fall asleep on me... Maybe one day I'll get to reading it, but there's just so much material in that book...
That reminds me of the time that I cryed when trying to install Debian. I never thaught that computer can make a man cry.
Maybe one day I'll get to install it without running away like a little girl.
I rememeber that Russia once developed a base-3 computer called ``Trinity''. I cant find a link on it, but I know that it worked. I cannot imagine how logical operations would work on sutch a thing though.
Just read the summary, it outlines the new in the most basic form so that even you can understand it.
With several months delay, Intel is now starting to transition from a 130-nm to its 90-nm production process. But the new processor crop, marked with an E after the clock speed number, will only ship up to 3.2 GHz for the time being with the 3.4 GHz version to follow later. The Pentium 4 Extreme Edition, meanwhile, is also available at 3.4 GHz, and takes the top position instead, flanked by the regular 3.4 GHz Pentium 4 version.
They are going 90nm now. First they will ship 3.2 GHz, and 3.4 later. The Extreme is already 3.4
... one me and a friend get a Sun Ultra (dunno what one yet) in a few days. Hoperfully, we can set up somthing that requires a lot of number cruntching. Perhaps a 64-bit SETI@home, I dunno.
The cool thing is for programmers, is that with the right macros and functions, one can use a single 64-bit integer as (get this!) 2 32-bit integers. This will come in handy for games and sutch where two sets of common numbers are accesed frequently.
This is just plain stupid. Not only are spammers using semi-senceable text, but most of the time my spam contains nothing but plain jibber jabber. I mean, just random misspelled words that dont make a fucking pint of sence.
May all hell be released upon the mastermind that controls this all, I hope the worst upon him from the bottom of my heart to all eternaty.
I can just see the articles about GTA being too violent and "too destructive to out future generation" rolling in. At least now the democrats have to use trademark symbols.
Does anyone know what the patent numbers are? I cannot find them anywhere on the USPTO office nor the article posted.
Anyway, best of luck to the development and publishing team -- I hope the highly biased threats stop about how the nature of the game acts upon the youth.
I would never pay $250 for an Ipod mini with 4 GB. It is just not worth it. If I was to buy a mini, then splenind $100 more for the 10 GB ipod makes more sence. The prices still suck.

... but I wish we could get some famouse people here in Minnesota, US of A.
The site is becoming a little slow already, so here is a text-only version. The http://chandra.harvard.edu site seems to be slashdoted already.
This is super.

You've got a total waste of money. This is slashdot, who here actually -baugh- their computer as one whole?
What Windows does it have? Windows XP Pro, Home, or Open?
... and you still cant marry horses! Why must thou be so upon thyself?
Use this guide to help you out, ay chap? I cant find any online filters though, sorry. Make a small useless perl script if you must.

I cant access the website here at school, TIES for some reason blocks it (pornogrophy), could someone tell me what lisence this is posted on?
If its the Commons license, then, ugh, cool and stuff...

Actually, you can link it. Its still a large ammount of information to take in though. Good midnight read, I guess :|

Its not that hard, you know. Dont bitch about it.
Can I overclock it to 5 HGz ?

Well, another release. What can I say, keep that good stuff coming. We all love it.
:)
Now GO GET FIREBIRD UPDATED!
I love that Movie. Sometimes, the best movies are the ones not extremely popular. That movie will always remain one of my favorites.
This is why they are under those umbrellas. The image clearly shows that not a drop of sunlight is hitting their tender, precious skin.
I got to hand it of to you guys. News gets here pretty blazing fast. A few minutes ago? Pfft, that is "fresh news" in my book.
Good job.
Oh, and good kernel to and stuff...
