I don't know what to say, but to me this all sounds a little stupid.
This is pure brainwashing, and we don't even know about this. They might as well make them repeat "buy Microsoft products, buy Microsoft products, buy Microsoft products" over and over again.
I know that this goes against my original post, but I have to say that I agree with both of you.
I get what you mean. PowerPoint, aside from being a Microsoft product (its not "cool" to use those, remember) does add clutter and gives the user endless possibilities to add even more.
I use a BSD system for my server, and I find that the ports collection is somthing that is extremely usefull for any system administrator that wants to save time.
I dont want to downlaod dependencies, I wan the computer to do it, and this is why it is so great.
I am at all not surprised at this. Sooner or later, yippy stores such as WallMart are going to try to get into the scene, but without style as they usually do.
Had a burner since 1998? Wow, that's pretty amazing - accounting for all of those CDs that you have writing.
If my memory server right, weren't CD burners in that day extremely slow? (2X) How fast is this thing? And what brand? Since it burns so many CDs from such a date when CD burners were just starting out - must be a catch.
I don't see why commercial game developers have to settle with expensive software like Maya or MAX when talent and Blender can generate the same beautiful results. Money is lost here.
Not too many, basically, there is the RPM and the DEB format that I have heard much hype about.
There is always the assurance that any package that you are looking for is somewhere in one of those (or both) formats. This was one of the things that inspired me to use Linux and co-exist with Windows at the same time (my big switch, you could say).
Wow, finally someone did something like this. I have been baffled by the Debian installation process for some times now. I will really enjoy this. Thank you very much, mkay?
I just hope that this one won't fuck up my partitions like it did last time - I was lucky enough to fix the partitions, but I could not find the files I have been working on for 3 weeks after that.
I heard that Microsoft is planning to buy some pharmaceuticals company to relive users of neck and back strains.:)
I also used one for about 2 months straight for a school project. I was doing a lot of mobile work, so this thing proved itself very useful for someone who moves around a lot. I did, in fact, noticed that when my head is not at a lowered position, I get slightly mild aches in the lower part of my neck. Also, it is not very comfortable to write anything on a Tablet PC. I used to think that these were going to be very productive and easy to use, but it terns out the only asset that I treasure is the mobility of the tablet -- nothing else, nothing more.
This is strange, maybe the admins are doing background sekrit work that they dont want us to know about and somehow lead to the conclution that having random 503 errors throught the day will bring profit.
PNC baught Nine Ladies Dancing.

Nice try society!
This applies to the post below as well.

PowerPoint was aimed at regular Joes, what's new?
I do agree that PowerPoint makes you dumb.
The only way to report data is through bare, sheer, raw data!
No fancy graphics, no 3d pies, and definitely NO graphs.
Using regular, sorted information presented in a table is the best method - as a Wire article states.
My friend is planning to get a SPARCstation 10 .. but we already have this SPARCstation 4 that we installed NetBSD on it - all without any problems.
;)
Right now, the hard disks died and we cannot use it.
It would have ben fun to run phpsysinfo on it just so people knew its a sparc
someday i will become rich and do all this and more.

Not that anyone care about my opinion:
I am at all not surprised at this. Sooner or later, yippy stores such as WallMart are going to try to get into the scene, but without style as they usually do.
What's next, McToons?
up the shut fuck!!
This leads to the obvious conclusion that they are both Billy the Kid(s).
The dead are DEAD.
Seriously, people need to start thinking logicaly when it comes to this shit.
Did he develop optical storage abilities on his tong?

Those renderings look absolutely gorgeous.

Forget spam...
How large is a usual 5 minute MPEG file with stereo sound in a medium resolution? Lots of those were created, way more then spam.
Its not a problem fool, its a feature.
