    Innocents? They provided him the information. In most countries just doing that is enough to get convicted for treason. If they didn't want the information to be published why did they give it to Wikileaks to begin with?

    Do you think there is anyone with a flawless personality? I still admire him for what he did exposing all that information. But it doesn't mean I need to appreciate his entire way of life.

    You don't know the definition of what a monopoly is. Perhaps YOU should read the letter of the law. The fact is Microsoft forced manufacturers in Asia to drop BeOS and Linux desktops and laptops because if they did not do that their Windows licensing costs would increase. In fact that is the reason some people think Sony dropped their laptop business altogether. They just don't want to bother dealing with Microsoft anymore if they can avoid it.

    Dude. Have you ever bothered watching the charts on dashboard? The oldest version that is still in common use is Gingerbread which is Android 2.3. In fact it is getting displaced by Android 4.x.

    Apple hasn't upgraded my iPhone 3GS for yonks now. In fact I have good reasons to believe someone stole my Apple account login ID last month when I access the Internet via 3G. Then you tell it is more safe? Hah.

    Does that userbase overlap with the Facebook userbase? Can you get $42 per person? Can it not the easily displaced by something else? Skype actually developed meaningful things like the SILK codec. What did these bozos develop?

    CEO pay is overrated. From what I can see CEO pay is not directly tied to performance at all. Not to mention that most CEOs get to be CEOs because they like power to dictate over other people. Salary is less relevant.

    Board is usually 'institutional investors' i.e. banks and insurance companies. Small stockholders don't have a chance of influencing it.

    You have two options. One is that you NEVER resell the software to anyone. GPL does not forbid you from doing such as long as you don't redistribute it. The other option is to simply cease to use the GPLed software. If you have distributed the software to a 3rd party you have to distribute the source to ALL of it however.

    The story is bullshit. Not going to happen. I can see them replicating the Android API and virtual machine but not the kernel. Plus it would take them a lot of time to do it and they would be continually behind Google in API development. Good luck. Not.

    Probably. But they aren't as dumb as you think. I have met them on occasion in conferences and they seem to have a pretty good grasp at maths theory, physics, etc. Many of their diaspora are top notch research staff in North America. So dumb they are not. Their problem is they are too isolated by sanctions and can't easily access modern machine tools and other things required to actually build stuff.
