I'd say that 0.35K is not an arbitrary low temperature. - Since it's about -272,80 degrees Celsius...
- Still far from usable outside any laboratory.

From what I've heard (not sooner than 10 years ago) - it was common knowledge around zoo-keepers that it was a tradeoff between active "pet fish" in an aquarium and cost-effective fish... - you simply could regulate that with the temperature of the water.
- A higher temperature would yield more interesting fish that would swim around faster. But, die sooner...
- (and the opposite)...
- Why wouldn't this also be true for other species?
h
That's exactly the way I'd like it... although... I hope it's possible to replace the color 'red wine-red' with 'slashdot-green'? (Or is it customizable?;)
Although they remove this feature, what other 'usage statistics'-logging-features are silently embedded?
My newer D-Link 604 router has some statistics and a thorough logging function (which is displayed in the web gui). - Is all of it really visible to the end user?
It's a good bet from the manufacturers that the device will be online all the time. Perhaps one should install a box to surveil the router/firewall, if any connections are initiated from the router?
I'm not into this case, but at a first glance it seem to me that Geronimo really is just what JBoss is, right ? - So what's the point in remaking it? JBoss is already free? (LGPL!)
I've experienced pretty much the same thing. I was in a factory (probably neighbor to the one on the picture (at least they look the same and are located in the same town.;) where the employees making up the workforce would live on a campus in the same area. The other employees; executives etc. were all Hong Kong weekly commuter residents.
Apparantly the employees living on campuses send all their remaining income to their families at home, whom they visit during one week a year. (Including travel...)
What's this telling us? I'm not in the US. Well, sure, alright... a ranking doesn't make things worse, but... why not rank the international CS-universities?

I strongly recommend Uniross 2300mAh 1.5v rechargeables. Before I got those I had to run the camera on Radioshack-type buy-and-toss batteries. They lasted for about 20-30 pictures without LCD and flash. The new rounds (I bought two rounds of rechargeables, to always keep an extra pair handy), are accountable for at least 250 pictures per round. With some LCD, deletions and flashes here and there.
-If it's not less expensive to run on rechargeables, it's definitely more comfortable!
h
As far as I've heard, NiCD rechargeables are the only ones to suffer from 'memory'. That's a common error newbies in rc-racing does. They drive some just before the race, they re-charge the batteries just to keep them fully loaded before the real race begins, and the car runs out of power too quick...
Yeah... and since it's the same type of connector all over the world, why don't we start to manufacture fridges which plug into the network-cable, only to get power.
- What if you're on WiFi?.
I'd guess that you still have to use an ac-adapter for those moments. But if it'd be possible to standardize so that you plug the network-cable into the ac-adapter, and the ac-adapter in the laptop... a bit clumsy but it's only for the times when no power is available through the network. When it is, plug the network cable directly in the computer. No adaptaer between.
While I tried to purchase details from a user/store o eBay and (although I primarily live in Europe) was visiting the USA, the store just ignored the won auction. What you do after having sent credit card details, shipping information and some "hellooo?"-mails, just to get ignored, is giving them the finger in your review of them.
That on the other hand caught their attention.
Anyway, to get rid of the bad looking review they tried offered me free stuff in exchange for that I remove the review. But, if they don't ship what the get paid to ship, why should the ship free stuff...

Screensavers doesn't prevent burn-ins. It just keeps the burn-in evenly distributed over the screen.
(Unless the burn-in is caused by a cumulating property increasing with the time the pixel's lit.
Ie. a dot has to reach a certain temperature in order to 'burn-in', otherwise no burn-in occurs. In this case using a screensaver would remedy the problem since the temperature of a dot never reaches the red line.)
Hm. Isn't Sweden the most immigration-friendly country in North Europe?
Both Denmark and Norway has strict rules.
Iceland - not easy to get there as a refugee.
Finland - I don't know about how their policies are.

Well, I'd say that the digital TV-project will open up the market for additional commercial channels - if that's what you prefer.
The one tax/fee that I can cope with in Sweden is really the TV/Radio-license - since it provides quality content. However, I'd rather see that it's optional for those who want it - that would also create a incentive for Public Service-TV/Radio to actively improve itself.
(FYI, Here in Swmede there are people out knocking-door to see if you have a television-set with receiver - in order to enforce the "license". You may not own a TV without paying the fee.)

All we see is cutbacks in education and health care, all the time. I'm really confident that the budget can be reworked entirely and allow better services and lower taxes.
In sweden, your employee would pay - "employee costs (tax)" - about 15% of the total cost for hiring you. - then You pay between 25%->41% depending on level of income. (of the "total cost of hiring you") - Value Added Tax - 10% (of the "total cost of hiring you").
And, if you perhaps would buy gas or have a car, that is also taxed. (at least 60% of the gas-prices is made up of tax.)

So, you're saying that if this hadn't happened during summer time ...? :)
Cudos to Medic for making it work anyhow...

It's hard to enforce laws on the inhabitans if they don't agree... there's still a 'market economy' between the countries.
May the 'best' country win.
In a democracy, the members decide what's legal and not legal. If a majority of the inhabitans consider it to be legal, then it is!
