Wouldn't this be copyright infringement? The web page as you intended is your creative work, they are altering and distributing your work. I don't think you are allowed to do that.
"Monopolies should be public. Leave the rest to the market if you don't know what is optimal. If you do, get rid of the market."
Absolutely, on any given day, in the small city where I live, the posted price of gas is exactly the same at every single gas station. This is a market that is broken. That not one guy is willing to offer a penny, or a fraction of a penny to sell a more gas than the other guy is a sign that this is not a real market.
Markets should exist where markets work, but if it's not a real market than it should be a regulated service. A broken(non competitive) market is like a tax, but without the benefit to society. Markets that aren't competitive should be regulated to encourage competitiveness, or they should be replaced with public utilities.
gpl first freedom (0): "the freedom to use the software for any purpose"
"we encourage people who redistribute free software to charge as much as they wish or can." from http://www.gnu.org/philosophy/selling.html
The cost of distributing someone else's gpl work is licensing your derivative work under the same license. The face up fairness of this deal is what appeals to so many developers. Every license has rules.
Where are Attila Dimedici's comments where he can justify such an outrageous summary? I think if I submitted a story, I would at least follow the discussion. The impression he is leaving about Tesla closing it's doors is irresponsible at best.
you mean this quote from the article you linked to
"Mr. Hotz expressly tells people on his website not to give him donations for his efforts," Kellar explained. "Even more harmful to Sony's personal jurisdiction argument, the only evidence put forward of Mr. Hotz' PayPal account appears to be a transaction initiated by the plaintiff."
Why would you say what you said when the link you posted as evidence says the opposite?
Also, all the people I have helped by installing and defaulting to Firefox, are now wondering why they have 15 search bars and half an inch of actual browser window. These are the users microsoft wanted back.
If my code gets 'stolen', used without my permission, breaking the terms of the license; what difference does it make as to the license I chose to release it under.
what kind of donuts are you offering?

This is some great advice, the value of an idea is in its execution.
Good ideas are often bigger than one person any way, do what you can to bring smart, mature people along with you. Dont be so small minded to think you have to be %100 of the implementation. It will be better to be %10 of a success than %100 of an idea that sits in your secrets.
Like many many people I see 'MY' ideas all the time in Popular Science or on the web. I may(doubtful) or may not(likely) have had the idea first, it doesn't matter now, I don't admire their idea, I admire their abillity to execute.
Almost all non trivial data structures implore some level of cleverness to get the most out of the technology we have at the time. I don't see it as a trick, just one way to do it.
We think our human rights stem from what someone has written down? Do we attribute our freedom to what no one else has taken from us? "even in the US constitution" wtf man, live free or die!
When DirectX 10 was first introduced to the market by graphics manufacturers?
I guess it was technological innovations brought to us by the graphics card manufactures. Thank goodness Microsoft was able to provide us with a platform that implements this great new and improved gaming API. No wonder the other vendors in the desktop OS industry are falling behind in the market.

Nobody calls him SJ.
Seems like a sexist prick thing to say.
Just sayin,

Maybe when you get older you will understand, and situations like this will not seem so weird.

I don't think you don't lose energy speeding up and slowing down pistons, they are on a rotating assembly and their momentum caries them around.
Incredible!

Could just be over fishing, my uncle went out ice fishing and caught 72 pounds. I think that is totally unreasonable myself.
Chasing after everything they do.

You lost me there, can we go back a bit?
22 Minutes and jPod would be excellent!

I love my MonopoLiniux, keeps me free from lawsuits of MS IP!
What planet have you been on man?
For one thing, I don't believe you, this statement really makes me question your intentions.
