Huh? Voodoo faster than Riva TNT? Riva TNT cards are much faster than Voodoo 3, and support more features, actually I still see Riva TNT cards around, while I haven't seen a Voodoo for ages.
Further more, Riva TNT cards run not so old games pretty well, Max Payne is an example, I want to see a Voodoo card do so.
Are you sure this actually happened? Got any links? Or you are just trolling / karma whoring?
I don't see how MS is going to say that the word Linux qualifies as pr0n, on the other hand, it's pretty easy for them to do so for XFree86 (with X and free).
his fourth beta of PHP 5 is also scheduled to be the last one (barring unexpected surprises, that did occur with beta 3).
this release is supposed to be the last beta for 5.0, and the next release should be a production one, the surprise isn't in the beta itself, the author wants the production release to be next, and not another beta.
MS will use this source leak in the future to claim that various open source projects (Samba, Gnome, KDE, OpenOffice(?), linux) that get new features which MS finds competitive are 'derivative' works, regardless of whether or not the developers actually looked at the source.
wait a minute, MS says only 15% of the source code leaked, we need to know exactly what parts of the OS were leaked, kernel, GUI, WinSock...
If the GUI code wasn't leaked for example, they can't sue GNOME for adding a Windows-like feaure.
Mr Bill isn't the only one in a bad situation here, with the source code available to all those crackers/virus writers, there will be lots of new worms and exploits, millions of Windows users will be in a much worse situation too.
Worms and exploits will start to appear quicker, and more frequently than ever.
yeah right

Yeah, this is exactly why their web server runs Linux.
Yawn, that's nothing, wake me up when they manage to get a working PC with Windows in it.
hehe, before that someone mods you +1 Informative, gnome.org runs Linux/Apache.
:)
Nice one though
Hmm slightly convienient, just like the Valve - HL2 delays.
You mean, they'll delay GNOME 2.6 before March 31th to Summer, and before Summer they delay it again and so on?
No please! I want my GNOME!
Nope, there is a difference, a good discussion of the differences between text and graphical interfaces can be found here.
You are right, it should be a list of user interfaces, not only graphical ones.

Like Ogg Theora?
his blog seems to be down at the time of writing
/.ing ever, just submitting the story was enough to take the site down.
Wow, the fastest
They are targetting a Summer release now.
Why not create a page that generates browser usuage stats based on the user agent?
The BitTorrent part is a dupe.

... nobody complains about movies although they had controversial elements like violence and sex much earlier than video games ever existed.
Agreed, with software that everyone seems to like and use like Kazaa and Gator, I'm pretty sure the number should be much higher than this.
I don't see how MS is going to say that the word Linux qualifies as pr0n, on the other hand, it's pretty easy for them to do so for XFree86 (with X and free).
cool, this will be useful in case the other comment gets /.ed :)

Hmm, so Win2K devs were playing around with Apache, I wonder if there is some Apache code there too.
WRONG, SCO as they can see Windows source code, will surely find lines of code copied verbatim from their UNIX and sue MS.
Looks like there is a more optimized version here.
yeah, and now MS have a good excuse to delay longhorn and force all windows users to upgrade.

WineX can't just support every single game released for Windows, this is simply impossible, at least right now.
However, WineX supports the big hits pretty well, Call of Duty, Max Payne 2, Warcraft III, check out their list of supported games.
If you are a subscriber, you can vote for games to get more support, and if the game is popular enough, they'll work on it.
WineX works great with supported games, and has dramatically decreased my Windows boots.
