As far as your 'in other words' interpretation please go check out the channel9 presentations on windows live wherein they talk about their support for firefox.
Sure. But Microsoft Patents are defensive patents. They have never sued anyone for patent infringement. But have beenm on the recieving end for the stupidest of patent.
As far as accuracy is concerned I doubt these small devices can provide accurate voice instructions. I have driven around the country (US) using a tablet PC and using a voice addin to Mappoint 2004. It is by a huge measure the most reliable navigation system that is commericially available.
Mappoint 2006 comes with built-in Voice-Prompted Driving Guidance -- but I have not tried it.
My network was slow when I have a 802.11g router. Even though connection speed was reported as 54Mbps I was only able to get much less than 6Mbps (with WPA enabled). I had the same issues as you did when watching videos remotely. It was very jerky. I just moved to a 802.11a router (with WPA2 to boot) since then the slowness has completely disappered.
Get a couple of crackshot dev to compile your apps.
Test the apps in a test bed envoirnment.
Your 90% of your stragegies will come out off the problems you encounter in your test-bed.
Second don't try to do too many things at once. For example, it would be tempting to move to 64-bit with 2.0
Wow you are routing your business email through gmail. With google's reputation for logging and tracking everything for posterity I would be very afraid to send my business communication that way.
I am waiting for the new encoder from Microsoft that will be releasing in Jan 2006 -- according to the one of the Microsoft chats. The new encoder will suposedly will have more accurate bitrate calculations and will introduce two pass encoding to Advanced codec profile.
He cheated his friend and partner Steve Wozniak out of money before the early days of Apple. And when Wozniak set up his own company in 1986, Jobs threatened Wozniak's suppliers against doing business with Wozniak.
Just because Jobs did something in his past doesn't mean that is a good path to follow.
And measured taken over a 6 month period.

If you are caught cheating your other 'girlfriends' have throw a fit.
You can still run 16-application in a VM provided by Virtual PC or et al.

MSDN and TechEd videos are good resources for code migation issues. Some resources you can checkout are

Microsoft

Looks cool. But thats about it.
I don't think there is a any market for this.
I would not feel comfortable placing my coffee cup on this table.
This looks like asp.net Atlas might be worth investigating though.

There are much larger non-tech forums on the net.
For example: http://fray.slate.msn.com/?id=3936 has more users and more posts than this forum.
I like Windows Media Player.
I rather have Windows Media than some format like Real.
Take off your hate cap.
