Games For Both Of Us?

It may have been about the PS/2 that time.
Co-op games are the best when playing video games with your wife. You don't need the added stress of being antagonists in the video game world.
You may need to branch out from your world to play cooperatively, as FPS does not really lend itself to real co-op play.
My wife hates the computer, so I don't have any experience with PC games to share with the wife. Obvious titles come to mind from what I play with friends:
Diablo II
Neverwinter Nights
Since your wife likes puzzle games like Myst, and you want co-op, you may want to try URU Live. I was on the beta test for it. Assuming the on-line version is up and running, you can create avatars to look anyway you wish (my wife thought my self portrait was so accurate it was scary) and work together to solve puzzles. Some of the puzzles would be easier with two people. The graphics and sounds are awesome!
In response to the original poster: Yahoo isn't lying, you deleted your account, so they can not determine your preferences so must assume you want to receive their email!
In response to the person who wanted to know what the best free email service is: I'd say Yahoo!
I love it. I used to use Netscape's free email when it had filters enabled. But since they removed that functionality and email address aliases, that account has become my sacrifice account. Everything that needs an email address gets that one (even Slashdot!)
I prefer Yahoo's service since it has spam blocking virus scanning for attachments, and aliases in the address book.
I did not recieve this message from Yahoo (yet) but then I have all my preferences set to do not contact. I do not have an alternate email set for them to see. I never see spam from Yahoo, ever.
This software was included in several kid's games (Fisher Price Pet Shop, Pokemon Art Studio, etc). The early versions installed without warning you. The later versions asked you if it was OK to install, and if you said no, it would install anyway. It "apparently" collects web browsing information, encrypts it with PGP and sends it to the seller of the game (Mattel?).
Removing it requires Registry edit, reboot, then deleting the BBSTORE directory from your windows directory.
Finding a truly good video game is not all that common so I'd like to see them make the good ones longer.
Now the problem comes about when a game manufacturer tries to determine what is a good game, thus adding more content to it. I guess I'll have to volunteer to test all new games to determine "goodness" for them. Then they'll know which ones to extend.
Imagine if Baldur's Gate Dark Alliance had 8 chapters instead of 4. We might only be on our 5th time playing it (while waiting for Baldur's Gate Dark Alliance 2 which has been delayed till January) instead of the 12th.
More and more places are starting to restrict cell phones with cameras.
When I went to jury duty, every person with a camera phone had it confiscated. Some art galleries are doing the same. Even my grocery store has posted a sign stating that you are not allowed to photograph anything in the store.
The way things are going, camera cells will be more trouble than they are worth.
Just having one or two friends on with you can make the online experience better. You don't feel quite so vulnerable when a friend is near.
I have also found that if you refuse to join into screaming matches (via/squelch or/ignore) and help (not do everything for them, make them learn how to do it themselves too) the less powerful then you can create camaraderie with the people that happen to be in the game.
Doing this, I have on-line friends that I trust like physical friends and I have never met them physically.
If you pick up a used game, try it and hate it, return it within 7 days for a full refund. Of course if it is defective the same rule applies.
They do this with the console games at least. I'd buy a lot less games if this wasn't the policy.
For NEW games they'll buy it from you at a used price, which is ok (75-25% depending on the age of the game, and number of used copies), but it would be better if they would have the same policy of the used games for the new.
I don't know where you live, but around here if you are soliticited by police for money you have to suspect it is some kind of scam. Why would a publicly funded service group have the right to ask for money outide of an election?
Yes I signed up. The semi-automated methods I've tried do not seem to deter them:
Only family numbers have distinctive ring
Use Caller ID/Call Waiting ID, do not answer Unidentified, Private Name, or businesses you are not expecting calls from
Answering Machine starts with first tone of disconnected tones, has "put on do not call list if you are a solicitor" message, and occasional manual stop of recording automated callers as well as bold/idiot solicitors that ignored all prior messages
They keep calling and calling and . ..
Is it just me? Or is it nearly impossible to get a/. rating above 1 if you're not in the inner circle?
We have tried and did not like:
Alon Dar : had to play 2 hours solo before second person can join. No option for character the second player gets (it's a lizard). Very poor battle system, tedious quests (collect 30 silver acorns, collect 30 rocks...) and more time in the game forces you to play with 2 characters each.
Half-Life Decay : First person shooter, split screen very hard to determine where you are. Have sworn off split screen games.
Project Eden: Split screen (uggh!) each player controls 2 characters. Can give orders to secondary characters to follow you, but if you tell them do something like turn on their helmet lights, they forget to follow you.
We play:
As you mentioned Baldur's Gate Dark Alliance, and Gauntlet Dark Legacy. We also share Lord of the Rings : The Two Towers (1 cheers while the other plays)
Swing Away Golf : build a character in single mode, and compete with your spouse together. She still beats me.
Games that are coming out that may be of interest:
Baldur's Gate : Dark Alliance II -- Fall
Lord of the Rings : Return of the King -- Nov 4
Also you can do searches on the Playstation web site for 2 player games. A lot of sports games appear, but it gets you a list.
My wife is making me play it again for the 5th time.
We've beat easy and normal without cheating. We had to cheat to get past the Orb in Hard mode, never finished since the last monster kills us off immediately. We are struggling with the Orb in Extreme mode.
She can't wait until Baldur's Gate : Dark Alliance 2 is released this fall.
She plays this game since my other games take me into the office where she can't be with me. So to spend evening time with me she plays BG : DA.
Here is Phoenix Arizona USA we have "Ozone Alert" days where the ozone concentration is in an unhealthy range. We're supposed to telecommute (my personal choice), car pool, etc.
Maybe a little Hydrogen leakage would help cure our "Ozone" problems here.
My 2 GBAs with the Afterburner can only use the link cables when they have fresh charged batteries.
Won't the wireless link use more power causing even more issues with connectivity?
With all these add-ons with no additional power, limits will be reached.
I thought Unisys had modified their AT&T UNIX(r) to perform on the fly save points, and when an error occurred, the OS would roll back to the savepoint and re-execute the steps again. The theory was that these errors would only occur if there were several events happening at the same time. By rolling back and re-executing the steps, one or more of the events would not be happening at that time.
They claimed to reduce kernel panics by 80% this way.
I am not sure how an event could not occur when re-executing the same steps, since it's the "same steps". It's been a few years since I was told about this, and I may be remembering incorrectly.

I've been using JunkBusters and now Privoxy for so long I don't even know what ads you all complain about are.
I highly recommend Privoxy as you can configure it to allow ads at sites you want to support while suppressing ads for everything else.

Encrypting the information makes it insidious.

I'm booting the PS2 and checking the mailbox...

The number of coop games are not easily found.
