when it pops up with an auto correct recommendation, and you dismiss it three times, it will not try that correction again.
I keep getting the feeling that apple's marketing people did the spelling corrections though. It likes to fix my CaSe of iphone, and if I type "apps" for applications, it changes it to "Apple"
Even if HD-DVD players are cheaper, the HD DVD movies aren't available on blockbuster online, or the neighborhood stores. Netflix rents both, and from their stats:
Those who looked at Blu-ray titles outnumber those looking at HD-DVD by a factor of 1.8 to 1.
So even when both are available, Blu-ray is twice as popular. Blu-ray sales are also twice that of HD-DVD.
1. Real IM client. If it disconnects when the screen isn't on, or the app doesn't have focus, it isn't worthwhile. 1. SSH2 client 2. Better bluetooth support and accessories. Specifically, stereo BT headset, and BT keyboard.
You can't do anything like that to someone else unless they initiate it by right clicking an object and activating an animation, or by wearing an object that contains a script.
Having a really long pipeline with a high clock speed doesn't make your computer faster. It sounds better in marketing terms though - which is why Intel eventually fell flat on it's face when consumers found out the P4's were crap. If Intel's high clockspeed cpus also performed, we'd still see a mhz war because intel would still be focusing on it in their marketing. Right now it's just on the backburner.
The technologies are staggered between the two companies. So every other year the other company leaps ahead. It's not that AMD is behind, it's that their last release is behind intel's new release. The same thing happened to intel when AMD leaped ahead..
I'm just thankful AMD can compete. If they were still making crappy intel clones, we'd be paying quite a bit more for hardware.

You mean the reboot option that comes BACK every once in a while to ask if you want to reboot?
That's why the other guy said not to answer it - if you just push it to the side of your screen it can't pop up again since it's already there.. annoying as hell.
I know you put company in double quotes, but people really need to be informed about who the companies are inside the trade group. Otherwise they're falling for their trick of masking the real companys who fund it.
While it's been a few months since I last used SL, the scripting language leaves much to be desired.
It is EASY for someone to write a script that bogs down the server. Also scripts can be automated and self replicating. There was a problem a while back (Not sure if it's still an issue) about someone writing scripts that fly around really high (higher than a normal user can go without scripting super powers into a worn object) scanning land blocks for land for sale. It then alerted the owner of the script if anyone mistakenly setup some land for sale really cheap. It would randomly lag everyone as it passed by. The flying object was not just set really high in the sky, but also invisible. Since it moved at such speed, it took a while for people to even come to the conclusion that they even existed.
What I think is that the case being brought is stupid, and people are lashing out due to that fact, not so much due to the spyware stuff.
If the parent's wanted justice, they'd go after the person(s) who actually attacked their kids. Instead they're going after a company they think they can milk for millions. If it wasn't for the car makers, the attackers couldn't have easily gotten to the kids either! How about the ISP's who allowed the communications between user and the website? How about the web browser itself?! The list goes on and on. Blaming myspace is a joke.
There are usually exceptions, usually if you're within 3 years of the other person, it's OK. So a 16 year old and a 19 year old are usually okay. I say "usually", since it varies from state to state.
I strongly disagree. I have a 1080p tv set and the quality of DVD's do not compare to high def signal. I bought a high end dvd player and it still sucked. I ended up going with a desktop based PVR and dvi to hdmi cable, before the dvd quality was decent enough, but it is still no where what it could be.
If you're using a crappy TV, I'd understand your viewpoint.
If damages were given to the gov't, can you imagine what the laws and rulings we'd end up seeing? It's already bad enough that cops "camp out" on the highways to zap us for going 5 mph over the speed limit in order to generate revenue...
That means 2.5 lines of code per developer every two weeks!
Fun and games aside, what's the big deal with upgrading a live site? I write software that builds and packages itself and then deploys it's own code to itself in production while it's running. No issues here...

Almost the same list as mine. I want:
1. Real IM client. If it disconnects when the screen isn't on, or the app doesn't have focus, it isn't worthwhile.
1. SSH2 client
2. Better bluetooth support and accessories. Specifically, stereo BT headset, and BT keyboard.

I just wanted to join in. Thanks.

Global warming.

I disagree, as long as most of their listings are free, and the competition is not, they have a place.
I know you put company in double quotes, but people really need to be informed about who the companies are inside the trade group. Otherwise they're falling for their trick of masking the real companys who fund it.
you don't want to see your door at all. if you need to see it, move your head closer to the window when backing up.
properly adjusted side view mirrors also have the bonus of not blinding you when it's night time and there's someone behind you with HIDs.

Fun stuff.
I don't think that is the case.

You can buy barebone systems now. Usually you pick the chipset/cpu/screen, then fill in the ram, hard drive, and mini pci slots.

You sure about that? Far as I know, the money goes to the local gov't who then decides how to spread out the cash influx.
If damages were given to the gov't, can you imagine what the laws and rulings we'd end up seeing? It's already bad enough that cops "camp out" on the highways to zap us for going 5 mph over the speed limit in order to generate revenue ...
Just a few thousand people, but it does involve millions of dollars in work for a company in the top 15 of the fortune 500.

... a fireball of flaming Enzo?
Which is fine, since if the stock prices dropped, you wouldn't want to have to reevaluate his income and give him money back.
If he ever sells his stock, he'd have to pay taxes on it. It's not a free ride by any means.
I was thinking more like "local resource for IT pros", but you're right, that's illogical, since the developers aren't local to it.
Yes, at least apple knows when to give up and use BSD.
I remember a friend who used to own a $12,000 apple computer (for advertising) and it was the biggest pile of crap ever.
