  2. Buying PSP to EU from Hong Kong? on PSP And DS Duke It Out · · Score: 1

Does anybody know whether the PSP's sold in Hong Kong work a-ok here in EU? I mean is there chinese characters / region coding on the games?

Maybe somebody could point me to a faq if such exists.

    Cheers,

  3. Pictures of the prototype on Matchbox Sized Color Projectors? · · Score: 2, Informative

The local newspaper Kaleva here in Oulu Finland ran a story about them and their prototype:

    Kaleva's story

    Bigger picture

The caption of the picture says: Prototype and a matchbox. World's smallest videoprojector consists of a lightning machine, which captures light more efficiently. There is also text about the future screen resolutions and the cost of the thing, 700? at first and later 250?.

  4. Analog inputs? on iRiver Announces A New Ogg/MP3 Player · · Score: 1

I'm a dj and I've been looking for a HD-based portable mp3-player which has analog-inputs in it. Why? I like to record live sets straight out of the mixer and nowadays few mixers have optical/digital outputs.

The IHP-100 is on paper everything I was asking except for the analog inputs. I've also looked for the Creative's Jukebox3 but it is 1) BIG, 2) Made out of plastic so no thanks. If anybody knows any other products that match my requirements (HD, analog in/out), please feel free to share.

Hopefully the IHP-120 has analog in.

Another thing. Does anybody know whether it is easy to convert analog (RCA) audio signal to optical/digital? I know there are converter boxes but I'm a bit sceptical about their quality.

    Cheers,

  5. Re:Already in use at Finland on Tracking People Via Cell Phone · · Score: 1

And other things you can track nowadays in Oulu, Finland where I live are the places you (or whoever owns particular smartcard) have been.

    Checking of the smartcard

Basicly you input the number found on the smart card to the textbox and in return you get the following information:

    - Date when the card was last time used
    - Time
    - Number of the busdriver
    - On what line the cardholder was on
    - On what bus stop cardholder got on
    - Total amount (Kertymä/Saldo) (Dunno what this is)
    - Last date the card is valid
    - Spare seasons on the card

  6. Electronica - arght on Electronic Music 101? · · Score: 1

I think the word electronica is only used in the USA. Nobody in the old continent uses that word for describing electronic dance music.

Personally I'm sick of the fragmentation of genres nowadays. Seems that there is new genre invented every week just to satisfy the people who wanna be on the cutting edge on the dance music scene. Nu'nrg, abstract breaks, dark electro etc etc you get the point.

Ps. If you want to check out my mixes (mostly house), please check my homepage

  7. Simpsons... on Isn't it Time for Metric Time? · · Score: 1

Crazy Vlaclav : It no longer exists. But take her for a test drive, and you'll agree: (states their slogan)

  9. First wearable? on Two Scoops Of Wearable Computers · · Score: 1

I saw demonstration at a local seminar for usability. The demonstration was about future wearables tech etc. The guy said that Reima-Tutta here in Finland is going to present first "smart" wearable clothing _product_ in the world. He also mentioned that he wasn't sure if they're really the first guys to present such a thing...

I was impressed about this Yoyo-interface.

Well, let's get this over with... get 'em slashdotted :-) (talking about usability in their website ...)
