They have only one phone number listed on the site - an that number belongs to the sole emplyee of the company - Max Seybold - the CEO. He also answers to all the e-mail addresses listed in there. But not when you call/or e-mail to get your money back.
And if you try to buy something from their store, your Credit Card will be charged by a online dating company from Hong Kong.
I tried to order one in December 2009. They finally returned my money almost 2 months later ONLY AFTER i filled a fraud complaint with my bank. Before filling the complaint they ingored all my e-mails.
And unfortunatelly i'm not the only one. A couple of friends tried to order and received the same treatment.
Thank God i ordered using my Credit Card - the people who sent the money using Western Union never got them back.
It's a scam and this article shoule be tagged as scam
Grandma' won't be able to install Ubuntu on her 10.4 running G3 iMac. And even if the grandson does the deed, she won't know how to use it or update it (Firefox on OSX updates automatically).
Firefox on OS X updates automatically. Users just have to push a "OK" button in a dialog to re-open their current windows in tabs in the updated version.
Usually all those old 10.4 running macs are Grandma's and Auntie's browsing machines. Switching those machines to Linux is not advised unless you want to spend the next 3 months re-training their users.
Leopard won't install on anything with a cpu slower than 867 Mhz so the following machines are forced to remain on 10.4 Tiger:
- Dual 800Mhz G4 Powermacs and slower. - All G4 cubes - All G3 iMacs and most of the iLamp G4 iMacs - All G3 iBooks, a some G4 iBooks. - Almost all Titanium Powerbooks
FYI: the actual electronics inside a SIM card are all under the metalic pads. The rest is soft plastic which you can cut with a box cutter or with a pair of scissors in any shape you want, including 12x15mm. That's how most of the "dual-SIM" and "unlock-SIM" gadgets work - you cut up the existing SIMs and insert them into an SIM-sized adapter.
My EU car - a Renault brand - has a plastic cover over the engine with seals. I could rip the seals and look inside, but my 4-year warranty will be gone. So i won't.

Fun Facts about Max Seybold:
Under the nickname of "cherrypal" he edits the Wikipedia articles to remove or downplay all mentions about the scam.

Please no !
There are a lot of old G3 macs around that can run only Tiger and are perfect as a browsing machine (if you don't want to watch flash videos).
Not as vaporware as the CherryPal Africa turned out to be. CherryPal actually takes orders for their $99 netbook but nobody has ever received the actual product. And some people did not even got their money back.
