must say I do like the new artwork, but it's what is inside that really counts. And maybe I'm not normal, or maybe not geeky enough, but I can't really see what all the fuss is about. So, GL decides to put only the 'SE' releases of the films onto DVD, and the problem is what? Come on people it's a FILM! it's entertainment, it's not real life! I like the SW films, and yes, I did see the SE versions at the cinema when they came out and some of the 'new' bits were a little tacky, but hey, it was just a film. it's not some way of life. If GL has decided that the SE is what will be on the disks, then so be it. I don't really think sales will be effected that much, what you going to do, dress up like stormtroopers and protest outside Best Buy? handing out leaflets telling people not to purchse the 'bad' version of the film? come on, grow up a little people.
Just be thankfull you're getting the films on official DVD, GL could have waited until E3 is released on dvd before then releasing the original films on dvd.
Maybe GL is keeping quiet and an easter egg on the DVDs will be to watch them in their unaltered state? doubtfull, but maybe possible.
Oh dear! Somone is going to get roasted over this one. How could somone have overlooked something as simple as clearing the music rights?
Then again, Apple has been known to be a little silly when it comes to things like this, look at the previous names for dev versions of the Mac OS, Copland, Gershwin, and Mozart. I'm pretty darn sure the Mozart foundation (or whatever it's called) actually did sue Apple for use of the name without approval.
...reading that makes me feel proud that I'm actually able to answer peoples tech problems, regardless of how long it takes. must be something to do with working for a small company and not some massive beast.
I get many people who will call, after weeks of problems and when asked why this is the first contact, they mostly say they did not want to bother us! umm, dude, we'd be out of a job if you did not call? I think they are also suprised when they get hold of a human being and not some automated system. Then they actually speak to a true tech who knows the product and not some PFY sitting in front of a database of common problems,
Yeah, there are times when I "do a Ken" but it can't be that bad, would not be hear 10 years on if it was!
Do you have a comparable quality of life to those in the US and UK?
Does it bother you at all that you may be taking a job from a person in another country because you are working for what that other country considers a 'lesser' wage, but you consider a very good wage?
Do you have any worries that this boom in outsourcing from the rest of the world may abruptly end, much like the dot.com boom ended, and if it does, what will you do then? how do you see India's econmy being effected by this?
How much training and knowledge of programming do you have, what qualifications and such do you hold?
A very interesting concept, is it just me or is it kinda six degrees of serparation like? I'm now trying to find out who I know whose a member, somehow I don't think my peers are:D
So, who wants to start up a Tau-Delta-Kai to go up against the Omegas.... sorry, the Orkuts;-):D:D
I've got the first edition of this book and I love it! Would I get the 2nd edition? well, if the company pays, why not!:D
Seriously though, the only thing that annoyed me about the first edition was the frontmost part of the book was all about the GUI, which, well, I was not interested in. I wanted to learn the Terminal side of things, which it taught me, ok, so I'm no uber-unix geek now or anything, but I can rm -rf with the best of them:D

I *knew* there was another thing sitting at the back of my mind, and that was it! Maybe they just don't learn from their mistakes.
