IANAL, but the operator may be able to sue for damages in the EU.[1][2]

There was a story in Canada of an old woman who had her pin written down in her wallet and she got it stolen. The robbers wiped the account and she complained. The bank want to charge her but folded from pressure from reader digest. In that case I think she should have been charged.
"Newer software on your phone will frequently improve reception, sometimes just because the new software is aware of more towers. So purchasing the same phone from the same provider at a later date can get you better reception."
Unfortunately that's wrong. The towers are not hard coded into the phone and a software fix cannot fundementally alter the reception.
However your are probably referring to different version of the same phone which do change the hardware and software in the phone.
No Canadian stocks eh? You mean like BCE? and legally not allowed to put ads in Beta software like gmail? or MSN 8? I wonder how you got modded so high.
Anyone else notice that they were mis-using CAPTCHA throughout the article. CAPTCHA stands for a turing test (completely automated public Turing test to tell computers and humans apart). They can be discriminatory but not all of them are.
This isn't applicable to the RIAA sueing people who haven't downloaded music
Besides Record companies are just experencing a Laffer curve due to their greed. How come price gouging on oil is illegal but it's not illegal for music?
It's odd how people can read but not understand. There is no "honest" votes in the eyes of the system. Just like and unlike votes. If you start spamming you just get associated with the other spamming votes. Likewise if you choice to disown bad files you will be grouped with other people who do the same.
Mod Parent down.
The TV Commerical shows a guy walking with a rocket launcher, stripers, a fight, cops chasing someone and a car being blown up. I think that's a pretty good representation of whats in GTA:SA.
There a different though, when you send a tcp request to a http server that server has the same agreement through that isp to access their network but nowhere does it say that the ISP (or anyone else for that matter) can access the server.
It may be annoying however it's the law that the currency must be accepted.
http://laws.justice.gc.ca/en/C-52/text.html. There are limits put on the amount of small currency you can pay with however the guy could have come in with a thousand dollar bill and demanded change for it (in Canada).
I don't see how you disagree with getting a dell. You agree that all it's going to be used for is word processing, so why wouldn't they go for a dell? It's cheaper, has more space and memory. How exactly is the mac providing more value? The dell even has a better warrenty.
I have a PII which is as much as server and a quad xeon (works fine as a webserver, no downtime in the past year due to parts (only had it for a year)).
Queen's also has a pool playing robot. It uses a traditional cue. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O1TiO5lgN7o
The problem with this is that you own the copyright on the picture you took; Not the one Google took.

I think Boing Boing needs to get a lawyer and get to suing.
So Wikipedia is responsible for the site's that knock off it's content without listing it as such? I hope your not serious.

Yes you can get away with it. See Common Carrier
I agreed with you right up until you put . It's the blind leading the blind with xhtml isn't it. Leave out the font tags and we'll all be better off.

Corporations legally are people (well technically there a natural person in most jurisdiction).
And I thought Apple was just based on BSD.

it comes from a special fund that is donated only for that. If you donate to the eff it won't be used for primes unless you tell them to.
Most of the google module are inside iframes so they can be refreshed without refreshing the entire page.
You also set a max cost per a day which you can't overrun.
