There are a relatively large number of BT sites that require you to be a registered user before you can connect to their tracker. That being said, the latest Azureus seems to be able to sidestep logins once the packets leave the original site: There is no "secret security handshake" with the original site.
Sounds like a kind of virus, doesn't it?
Azureus, for one, is even as we speak busy adding in hooks for at least two "anonymous" networks --
1) I2P Network
2 The Onion Rounter (TOR) network
Since the work is still in progress, I have no idea what to expect of these alternate feeds. But it appears to be heading the direction of more privacy.
It took me 3 days to figure out how to uninstall all the crap arrived with the TorrentSearch package. I can now highly recommend RegCleaner, Spybot Search and Destroy, and of course, PestPatrol. Gottcha!
As I said in my nasty I sent mail to the site, "...it's almost certainly VirusWare...". I've never seen anything so highly defensive in its tactics to remain installed in a long while. At least three redundant copies of the information must be located and removed...

Anyone take a good look at that animated graphic on the Gyration Web site? Why do I get the impression this guy reads all his SPAM?
In fact, I'm almost convinced the software was written by someone trying to stop music, movies and software theft... ?
