After looking at E-MUs webpage I can say that the OS X support for M-Audio cards are better than E-MUs (doesn't seem to be one for the 1616M laptop which I looked at so that was easy..)

1 simple solution: Use stereo headphones and virtual surround.

Most people can't hear a difference of say a 160/192 kbps VBR lame encoded mp3 and the CD source so does it really matter that it's mp3?

Skype are useless aswell, I've used SIP for my telephone for like 5 years or something, why can't people use a SIP compatible client instead of that closed down omg no reverse engineering crap called Skype?
SIP can't travel thru all kinds of networks thought so that protocol Asterix has for VoIP may be a better choice, I'd still much rather see that than Skype.

But it took years before I got an ICQ account because IRC did what it did for me and was better at it. And MSN was just crap, from Microsoft, alternativ over the old one, couldn't handle offline messages, peoples nicknames look like shit, quite limited amount of text/message, universal plug&pray makes network configuration impossible and file transfers slow as fuck, ... The Firefox 3 beta 3 was very slow in OS X, but I guess that is an OS X issue.

Multiple tabs in Opera plays weird because I have no idea how to make them view the tab to the right if you close one tab, and I don't want to close them in the way I have viewed them if I open lots of tabs (Like say I have 10 tabs, I find a page with screenshots and open 10 new tabs, then I close the page and want to get to one of the screenshots, but ohno, opera will view the last page I viewed instead, since the new ones doesn't count as visited pages or something, and I can't figure out how to fix that.)

Yeah, Opera caches stuff for long, for how long I have no idea, but it still uses much less ram than Safari, and in Safari when it have taken lots of ram if I start to close more tabs it uses MORE RAM!!?!?! Wtf is up with that? And if I close them more and more until there aren't even a Window left to save some ram it still use 6-700MB of RAM. It's major fucked up. I can't understand how Apple can release this shit. (And I run it in OS X on a MBP.)

What's wrong with IRC? Why do we need this IM crap anyway? It's much more fun to talk to many people or just be able to say "hi" to everyone and see if someone are there instead of sending PMs to everyone.

Back in the days people used ICQ for IM here (and maybe AIM in the US), but now all people over here use MSN, do we really need 10 different instant messaging protocols? Skype and now facebooks internal one ... Fuck that, why can't people stay with oscar based ones if they really need them or not just use IRC.
