Well, for people who consider prices I guess it isn't since the oracle system cost more (exclusive software cost), thought then the choice of systems might have been "optimized" aswell.

What's wrong with the GPU in the PS3? I thought Nvidia claimed it would be better than 6800 in SLI configuration or something back in the days before it was released? And Nvidia should know, shouldn't they?

(Thought know I saw another comment which mentioned http://www.theinquirer.net/default.aspx?article=25 838 which says that it's slower than 6800 in SLI and that Microsoft and ATI claims that the 360s GPU are faster than that.)

Well xbox was released a lot later aswell.

More importantly even Gamecubes GPU was better and it was much cheaper, still PS2 sold many more consoles (thought many bought 3 because they died so fast..)

Someone else added HDD/memory card, also you have to pay for Live to play online.

And then the 360 will still not have the benefits of that the developers knows that there always is a hdd there, it's not backwards compatible with PS2 (obviously) which has lots of games, no HDMI, no blu-ray, no large storage for game media, can't run any homebrew, probably doesn't have as large future performance increase due to developers learning how to use the system (more or less already done on 360 since it was out earlier and is easier to code for.)

Also it's Microsoft damnit, if you let Microsoft win vs Sony sooner or later there will only be Microsoft consoles to choose among aswell.. So then Microsoft have the whole gaming market and we are back to PCs again. (Well, I doubt they can take on Nintendo but who knows.)

Would be good if one could just press "report" or something and then have the image temporarily removed until someone from the pirates checked it out and validated it as a clean file or removed it. Thought it's an awful lot of work I guess.

Anyway you can't blame them for that other people uploads random images can you? That could happen anywhere.

No, you wont see uploaded child pornography just because you click a link there, you will see a description of the content and how many seeders and leechers there are. Then you need to download the torrent file, run a torrent client, connect to people who actually have the files, download them.. So at most TPB does help you to connect with them, but things like google and so on can be used for that aswell.

Well, why they don't care about copyright infringement is because they doesn't belive that it should be a crime I guess...

If I have to choose between anonymous spreading of whatever ideas you might have vs a public but censored system where only the ideas which are considered "right" are allowed to pass thru I'm all for the first one, even if I might not agree with all the ideas which will be spread.

Because in the end who shall decide what is right and wrong and why?

Sure if you mail TPB crew and tell them about child pornography and the admins don't like it they will probably remove it just because THEY don't like it, not because they have to (since they aren't the ones spreading it to begin with.), and the same goes for copyright infringement. But you can't expect them to go thru all the files themself can you? Personally I would had prefered a distributed network of storing the data, distributing and uploading it, as anonymous as possible. Because then noone even COULD censor it even if they wanted to (and we wouldn't have to argue this.)

How should TPB hide them? Or how should they possible look inside all the content which are spread there?

In the end it's not TPB who host the files, they only offer a way to find them, just as google and similair systems does, if you want to prosecute and punish someone do it to the people who actually PRODUCE the shit and SPREAD it, not random system which might be used to reach it because then you can just aswell ban the whole Internet, magazines, letters, private photography, books, ... Because how can you know for sure that they aren't used for "bad" content?

Ok, I don't like the fact that my next letters would say that I will accept spreading of child porn, but if the alternative is complete and total censorship I would prefer the freedom to post and say whatever you want.

The people who are into child porn will find their shit anyway.

"Now the police is treating the site like any other site doing the same thing", so if I could find any form of child pornography using googles image search the police would shut google down? If anyone sends photos of childs beeing harassed sexually with the post we should shut down the post?
