Also, a lot of that Boiling happens underground, by pumping hot water below the water table, thus reducing the supply of water for local agricultural uses.
I actually had a mechanic (shop owner with 20 years experience) tell me the other day that he didn't understand how a VW bug engine works, and didn't like working on them for that reason.
I could understand if it were a turbine or rotary (maybe), but a bug engine is a 4 Cylender, 4 Stroke, mechanical distributor, Carborated, non-overhead cam engine. The only significant differences between it and any others is that it's a flat-4 configuration and air cooled.
I guess these guys were never married. Simply having an attentive wife teaches you that FED defeating trick. The location dropdown bar and autocomplete can be a lot of trouble.
Why not just set up seperate user accounts (and turn on file vault if on a Mac). My SO can't see ANY of my files, and I can't see hers. We don't have anything to hide from eachother, I'm just a BOFH who tries to use best practices at home as well as at work.
It's also handy in that if she finds some Mac malware online that snags all your home directory data, it won't get the important work passwords in my browser settings.
You guys get a rack? All we got was a wooden shelf.
(I think sometimes all these datacentre folks forget that there are a lot more small businesses out there than the handful of transnationals that can afford thousand machine datacentres.)
4 SATA on the motherboard, 8 SATA channels per PCI card, 4 PCI cards == 36 HDD, each on it's own channel. Power connectors, PCI bus speed, and money are the bottleneck here, not SATA channels.
On the topic of the blurb, I thought they were introducing a 1TB HDD, which made me excited as it would drive down the price of large HDDs (I'm starting a photography business). As it's a TiVo like device that uses two HDDs, they're taking more HDDs out of the market, which will drive up storage prices.
/. editors should really try to determine if the blurb actually sumarizes what's in the article, not just makes something up before posting it.
I did it in 1998 in NN & IE. Just make a frame that loads dynamic web pages that contain javascript to make the changes to the main document, with no borgers & the same background colour as the main frame. Worked like a charm.
It seems he could go to jail for ten years if convicted, or a cop could just walk up and throw him in the slammer for 18 months without a trial, if he did this in Canada.
Because it needs enough power to run the fuel pump, injectors, ecu, ignition coil, ignition system, oil pump, and turn the engine fast. Plus batteries & alternators are plenty reliable enough in most conditions, and less likely to break your arm on a backfire.
Furthermore, Market Cap != Liquid Assets. Market Capitalization is the sum of the current value of all outstanding shares, not what they sold the shares to the brokers for.
Imagine a small company that sells 50000 shares to the IPO brokers at $10. Due to buzz, rumours, or manipulation, the shares go up to $1000 per share. The company's market capitalization is now 50 million, but the company only has 1/2 million in the bank.
It can be easier to figure out in your head what the exact centre of the viewport is, etc. So I did this too, in order to make circles, etc with the exact same centre, not just mouse-click close.
2.6.x releases should be very stable. 2.6.x.y would be quite unstable (especially the first 3 weeks after 2.6.x), then get more stable as the y increases.
I'll also have to test it against the new kernel within a few days of it's release, which may be difficult for changes that aren't so minor (filesystems, etc. not this simple USB event driver).
Photographers who shoot and scan medium and large format (~600MB/image for medium format, ~3GB for 4x5) , Home Video Enthusiasts.
I think I'll contact their "Prodaction Director"

How is someone with a towtruck any more a thief than someone who walks by and sees the keys in the ignition?

The Price is about to go up...
As every public pool administrator in Europe and North America realize they could get sued if they don't have the system and someone drowns.
Or a kid is practicing holding his breath under water.

Did you actually click on the goatse link? Never click on the goatse (or tubgirl) link.
I remember that song, but don't remember the title, artist, or album. Would anyone care to enlighten me that I may buy it?
I just wonder how, asside from defcon, they expect to get that many simultaneous wireless users within range.

'round these parts we call that assault. Assault is a crime; cutting in is just rude.
