    I do believe that every governments in the world are putting themselves at great risks by choose MS Office for 1 reason: MSOffice format (.doc, .xls) is NOT A STANDARD!!

    What's the big deal?

    Well, in a few year you could end up with a ton of official documents locked in a format you won't be able to read without MS product! That's a big risk for a government.

    Yes, as of today, a lot of companies (including OpenOffice) breaked the MS format in a decent (but not perfect) way. But what in a couple of years from now? They may well complicate their format a lot.

    That's a big reason why government NEED to switch to something like StarOffice or OpenOffice because the file format is PUBLISHED, AVAILABLE FOR ALL. So they won't be locked in with MS products!

    I tried a couple of servers I am almost certain they don't use MSoft IIS and a lot of them are said to have their "identity protected"...

    Don't seem to happen on IIS servers...

    You're right, I read a lot of survey in the last weeks, and it is the first where Netscape Enterprise Server has a larger share than Apache.

    And I don't think it's because everybody's wrong...

    If you want a good academic Linux, why dont you go with EduLinux. It's a distro based on Mandrake 9.1 and modified to fit the needs of schools and others educational institutions!

    Here, in Quebec, a group of humourists (Rock et Belles Oreilles) made a spoof of a commercial with (fake) Wayne Gretzky speaking French (so bad that we don't understant a word). They put it on the air 3 times with 3 differents companies at the end.

    I think it was Ford, Travelers and a non-existing company that was given the name of the last word fake-Gretzky said: Situla gwassider

    That's the beauty of .css files. If you have a disabilities, your special browser will probably simply ignore the .css file, so you gonna have the information needed. Or you can specify your browser to ignore some kind of .css informations...

    Without .css file, the page will only render the text like in the 1st or second example in the article!

    Irshhhh, if Mozilla/Opera don't have anything better to offer to people than pop-up blocking as an incentive to switch from Explorer, it's a sign that they are not good products...

    Fortunately, they are way better than that!

    It's not the "majority" who makes the problem, it's the way that it is still possible to make pop-ups.

    And if "pop-ups" are replaced by something more annoying, how long do you think it will takes before an option to shut if down will be a hugh priority in Mozilla/Opera to-do list?

    I also believe you try to be humourous, but "pager phone" is really becoming a real plague in some offices...

    Why would someone disturb everybody in the office with something that isn't urgent?

    It breaks concentration and it most of the time an usually an useless call or a call for 1 or 2 persons.
