I bought a PDA about a year ago. It was cool at first, but I got bored with it after about a week. I took it back so I didn't feel I wasted $200 bucks for something that was just gonna collect dust. I don't really have any use for a todo list or an electronic calendar. I can usually remember my appointments or jot them down on a scrap piece of paper.
They just ran some cable, and hooked up the Modem. Didn't even touch or turn on the PC. When he was done he gave me some software and left. I didn't even bother with the software, I just turned on the PC and I was connected to the net.
One of the reasons is, most people just don't need broadband. Unless you play games, it isnt really necessary. Yeah, downloading movies and mp3's is fun for a while, but it just gets to be a hassle sorting through all the stuff after a while.. If I didn't play online games, or ran a web server, I would probably be happy with dialup.
AOL's "NDA" for beta testers is a joke.. At most you will just lose your access to keyword: beta.. Also, anyone who goes to keyword: beta can apply and become a beta tester.. There are no real requirements. Basically if you apply, you are in.. So everything is pretty public..
I pre-ordered the 4 disc extended edition on amazon.com about a month ago for $25.99.. There is also an extended collector's set you can pre order for 59.94.. Personally I think the $60 one is nothing special so I just got the $25 one.. I can wait til november to see the movie, so no I didn't buy the one that is out right now..
The thing is, they basically took the CDex source code, changed strings from CDex to NeoAudio, and now they are profiting off it.. They basically did no work at all.. Technically it might not be illegal, but highly unethical.
Don't believe me?? Sign up for a new hotmail account, don't sign up for any of the newsletters.. Don't give anyone the address.. Within a few days, you will have spam.
On a Macrovision protected VHS tape, the entire video signal on the tape is "encoded" with Macrovision. On a DVD player, hardware inside the DVD player encodes it on the outgoing video signal. There is a flag on the DVD disc that says to turn it on. Since its not encoded on the DVD itself, its much easier to disable. There are a lot of players that don't even have macrovision hardware. Anyone with a DVD-ROM on their PC can get around it too.
Almost all of the ID games have Linux binaries. No need to use them in wine. This includes all Doom games, All Quake games, and Return to Castle Wolfenstein.
Be careful with automotive batteries!

Ordinary automotive batteries, like those used for cars, produce gases while charging, which can ignite and cause an explosion. Marine deep cycle batteries do too, but to a lesser extent.
I would be sure to keep them in a well ventilated area.
But you will pay much more for it.

pda screen is too small to be used as an e-book, imho.

The high prices were not caused by piracy. MS Office has always been highly priced.
I use a Shuttle SV24 with a Via C3 cpu for my serving needs.. The shuttle is a nice compact box, and the C3 uses less than 15 watts of electricity.
If they want to be anything above mediocre, I believe so.
You need to read Knuth if you want to be anything above mediocre.

I'm the perfect candidate for the job

IE is un secure. Anyone with a web page can run arbitrary code on your computer..
I don't remember NES games having an agreement.. Basically it said you may not copy this illegaly.
Would you care what people thought of your company, as long as you are guaranteed to make millions off of this? Neither would I ..
Is all built by volunteer work..
I get about 2.2mbps on roadrunner in florida.
Best Buy has a pretty huge selection of Anime. The biggest selection i've seen at any 'brick and mortar' store..

The book industry is the new music biz ?
What is it that turns it into 1.0? Have all the known bugs been fixed? Just curious about what their criteria is for being 1.0.
