Wait a minute. Didn't Bush and supporters bash Kerry for saying that other world leaders told him they wanted him to win? Now that Australia, Japan, and Iran are supporting Bush publicly, they want to brag about world support...
A fine is a tax you pay for doing wrong and a tax is a fine you pay for doing all right.
I know its bad form to comment on some one's sig, but what the hell's the point of this? You don't think there should be taxes? Or that all government financing should come from law breakers?
Personally, I think one of the biggest problems with local governments is they use 'traffic violations' as revenue generation devices. Do you really think that most traffic laws (or drug laws, for that matter) actually make you safer? No! They just finance some little po-dunk government's existence.
This guys gets modded up as Interesting for telling us how lazy he is? What the hell is wrong with you people?!?
Its attitudes like that that will keep Windows in the drivers seat. 'Ah... Its just easier because its ubiquitous.' Sheesh. If you like Ogg, use Ogg. The rest of the world be damned.
And another thing: Why would you use the crap-tacular WMP? That thing has got to have the most convoluted UI I've ever seen (products from Computer Associates aside).
Sign me up, should this ever become a reality. However, the only way space travel will become an everyday occrance is if it is profitable. Don't get me wrong. I'd love to do it for the sake of doing it. But people aren't willing to spend millions/billions/trillions of dollars to do something just because "its there".
And I suppose your going to happily pay the massivly inflated prices for goods and services without the cheap labor?
I'm not saying it ain't broke. Just saying that "...rounding up all the ILLEGAL aliens... and throwing them out of the country..." would have more of a negitive impact on our economy than they cause by being here.
I thought about this on my way to work this morning. I've never seen a hispanic bum. I see many natural born (I assume) Americans (whites & blacks) pan-handleing. But I've never seen a hispanic. Wonder why that is? Maybe cause they want to work?
I wish more American's had the work ethic of an illegal alien.
I made that joke many a time when I worked at Electronics Boutique. Its not a very good joke, but it still makes me chuckle.
Every time one of those games game out, we'd be overwhelmed with FF-geeks. And look out if/when the release date was pushed back. You'd think you'd just told them their mother died. For some of the geeks, I wondered if that was worse.
What if your name is suspicously close to that of a terrorist? You can't expect the guy at the airport to understand you're not the terrorist.
But if you had a national ID card, wouldn't that take care of your arguement against said card? After all, that card would identify you as NOT being the person they where looking for, right?
The crux of such a system would be network connetivity and security.
George Soros wants bush gone. He's speaking the truth at his own cost. And he has got more patriotism in his thumb than you have in your whole body.
Wait a minute... Did you take what I said as a statement for Bush? Then you mis-interpreted... I want Bush gone just as bad as the next moderate-liberal. I was more making an observation on the motivations of people. Odds are, if you've got a job, you're not worried about someone elses job (or lack thereof). We're all selfish by nature.
But I am NOT a Bush-backer. I'm a Bush-wacker.
Kerry-Edwards: For people who can spell canidates with more than one letter.
The general concept is, if you eliminate the black market, the cost will fall, meaning people should not have to engage in illegal activites to feed their habit (yes, some will still steal, but that's already a crime, isn't it? No need to make something else illegal just to make it more difficult to commit another crime... One does not necessarily lead to the other.)
Indeed, the amount of heroin users grew from about 10000 in 1977 to 30000 in 1983
I wonder what the population increase was during that same period? It probably didn't triple, but these numbers would be more useful had they been given as % of the population...
Why would Steve Jobs be afraid? Adobe's already pulling their support from Apple, no?
And so what if they do breed? There's no evidence to suggest that a homosexual couple will raise homosexual kids.
If I had mod points, and I already haden't posted to this thread, I'd grant you some ;)
Man, talk about hypocrisy...
Not only that, but reduce pandering. These people would not be eligible for re-election, so they could vote their conscience.

Gentoo AND user friendly. Now that's a concept.
Don't you mean RTFC?
Damn it... I agree with something Neal Boortz said. Now I'm going to have to rethink my whole position.
Thats the thing about randomness. You can never be sure.

I'm sure John Ashcroft is thinking "If only I could do that kind of thing here..."

Okay... Then why Iraq? Why not Saudi Arabia? Syria? Lebennon? Iran? To some level, they've all supported terrorisim. Why was Iraq so damned important?
And which one of those was planned by the Iraqi government?

That, and its not a very good website (visually. I don't much like the content, either).
- Massive tax cuts to the rich
- reduction of key government programs
- Killing the Microsoft suite
- An unjustified war
- The Patriot Act (also known was the Rights? What rights! Act).
Dosen't sound like any Democrat I know (with the sole exception of Zell Miller, from my state. But he doesn't count).Wait a minute... Did you take what I said as a statement for Bush? The rest of us with jobs will just decide our canidate based upon other issues.
Yeah... That's marketing's job.
