One time we discussed video game movies and I told everyone they are the worst. They only did one right "Mortal Kombat" and the sequel was just sooo sooo bad. Well let me tell you what went wrong with this one my favorite Lara my dear Lara what did they do to you my Lara. Ok one the game is just bad because one they rushed it they rushed it oh why did they rushed it, two because they rushed it the controls are bad and I mean really bad just to make the game come out before the movie. This is a big reason why Tomb Raider didn't do to well in Movies right now. What they should have done is this : GET all the bugs out of the game!!! Then talk to the producers of the movie and make a way for the game and movie to come out at the same time ex:"ENTER THE MATRIX" but no one wants to listen to me when I ranted about that so I'll say this R.I.P Tomb Raider and sorry to Ms. Jolie "still think your hot will buy DVD because of you". Oh one more thing to all you producers out there do not and I repeat DO NOT make a Movie of Grand theft Auto or it will be war.
And I Mean WAR
I totally agree back in the day of Nintendo so many ions ago no one was afraid of different games and alot of them were great.
and I would prefer to play a boring linux game which will challege me more than most games that are out today. ps a message for Sega do you thing I'm still with you. "i still own a saturn"
ok jackass here you go and listen up the bottom line is what I said was true and if you can't understand the fact that yes I said the wireless internet worked then you have mad issues my friend well then f u for messing up my karma and when im done i'll be banging you sister and mom tonight have a great day
Sure burning DVD's is the way to go but remember when they created the the dual VCR's to watch one and tape on the other. Well my view is this remember the way the Video clubs got hip to this and made sure you couldn't copy VCR's anymore. What will happen when they do the same thing to the DVD's then what unless you borrows a friend movie to burn it for yourself it's completely worthless. They now have DVD's that once open the DVD destroys itself to prevent burning. I know that bootleg DVD are at an all time high and I'm a collector of many movies. I wonder if you can burn the DVD will you still have the 5.1 dobly sound for us with surround sound systems those are question you ask yourself before buy the DVD burners. Sorry to all about this but I'm not really sure if it's a good idea it would raise the price of the movies on DVD. One more thing the one when you can change your VCR tapes to DVD is a good buy if you have hundreds of VCR tapes then that's the way to go may god bless you all.
When RR came and installed wireless internet on my laptop I was very nervous at first thinking that ok if I go so far I'll lose my connection and everything I've been looking for. So since I live in Albany NY up in the mountains I've decided to check it out I went to my back yard good so far then all around the house just carrying my Laptop reading slashdot net no problems what so ever then I went out front and walked to the corner no problems still hmmm well from there I'm convinced I've say about 10 yards is all I didn't want to go any further was reading very interesting info about wireless internet.
No, you can't go to monster.com, but what you could do is try an employment agency and see what they could do for you. You did get free advertisement here at slashdot, but if you would have put in an Email address I would probably help you out for a C-note a week. Another way you can go about this is to pass out flyers at your local college computer department. College kids really fiend for things like that -- they're the way to go! They can always use the beer money and it would look good on their resumes. It would be a good learning experience for them as well. Just go by the computer dept at any college, drop off some flyers, and you will get many phone calls. Well, good luck.
To be honest with you, I'm kind of glad they decided to double check their work and make sure that we get the best product possible. I give kudos to Eidos. I understand that a July launch would doom its key sales targets for this year, but if they could wait until July 28 when the movie "The Cradle of Life" comes out, they could do what the Matrix did and have a big franchise with the game and the movie. Eidos would make a killing cause everyone loves Lara Croft.
That would even give them more time to get all the bugs out, improving our gaming experience. We all know it's about dollars and cents but a little loss compared to a big gain could make all the difference. After all, if they are any bugs in the game because it was rushed to market, people will return the game, and Eidos will lose money rather than gain it.
Well until Lara get's eaten by a bear or loses her body (pregnancy?) make mines tomb raider.
Now, think: you came to watch a movie, but now you have to pay attention or you won't get the bonus code for an extra level in the videogame! Are they trying to force us to play the game or watch the movie? I wonder.
I've said it once and I'll say it again, that movies destroy video games and this one on hand is doing so as well. Unless you come to the movie with a pen and paper you're out of luck. It's kind of a cute idea but I prefer to watch and enjoy the movie, not pay attention to every road sign or license plate in the movie to give me a code for a game...
I think they took this way too far. They need to stop, and let us enjoy the movie. They should add a section to the DVD which will give you codes, if that's what they want to do. Hiding stuff in the movie is annoying.
Almost all video games movies are horrible cause they take away from the story of the game and even though the special effects are good some movies destroy some great games ex: I was a big Resident Evil fan until the movie I can't believe they butchered the story so much and it was just horrible that after I saw the movie the following day I traded in all my Resident Evil collection every game cause the movie turned me off to the game. So since I love Devil May Cry I wouldn't want to see the movie cause the game is just too good thank you for hearing me and PS. Tomb Raider wasn't that bad can't wait for the Angel of Darkness and to see the next Flick, Another example is Final Fantasy the movie was great and the story line was perfect couldn't wait to play Final Fantasy X after the movie. all in all most Video games movies are horrible ex:Mario Brothers, Mortal Kombat II, Street fighter with Claude Van Damm Now that movie almost destroyed SFII If it wasn't for the animated series and movies. SFII would had died a terrible death. Just to make this point clear Movies based on games really suck only one was good out of too too many.
Well Rockstar is going over seas to Japan and I'm really happy about that it's about time a real game with everything in it and more make it overseas. Capcom has made great games in the past but Partnership with Rockstar games in this venture is good for the gaming market in Japan which is declining even as we speak, they need a game like GTA3 Which was the highest selling game in the USA and think about the possibilities of GTA Vice city as well Capcom and Rockstar will make a killing in Japan granted in the past USA games haven't went well in Japan, but this is very different GTA has so much to offer and Capcom the makers of SF2, Mega man, Resident evil now think how popular those are and now add GTA franchise and you got a monster on your hands. I know this venture with Rockstar games and Capcom will do very well even in the future. Could you see the possibilities. To be honest I would love to play the Japanese version of GTA and See what Capcom and Rockstar came up with for this highly sold highly popular game so far for this decade. Well thank you for hearing me out.
Yes I do agree. I would fall into this category as well due to the fact I love the whole FF series. And even though the game comes out on Nov 3, 2003 I would buy FFX2 first then wait for awhile then buy my little sister the game cube and get the other one for free. But all in all I must say I can't wait for it but there is no way no way can I play both games simultaneously If I really had the time I still would feel the same way I could only give one my full attention.
Well isn't this a fine mess. I just brought a bunch of ties. but I wonder what's next to get the ladies out of their blouses. Then we are talking
