    So did the authorities actually test them?

    They have sample explosives for bomb dogs to find surely they could test the detectors in the same way. Its not an expensive test process.

    It seems that the NZ government is meant to represent the voters wishes, but it does seem to do what the US and Multinationals want. The Office of the United States Trade Representative said clause excluding software from patent-ability "departed from patent eligibility standards in other developed economies" (http://www.stuff.co.nz/technology/digital-living/7570288/Govt-accused-of-Patent-Bills-betrayal), umm so can't one country take the lead and see a problem, address it and move on to a better place?

    Testers only give an exit report to the person taking delivery and is up to them to make the go/no go decision. We just provide evidence and metrics for the recipient if they want to push it out or not.

    Anyway software is different from a lot of products as it isn't fixable and upgradeable. So long as the vendor can provide timely and free security and fixes for issues that affect data integrity they are doing what they should.

    Also remember this chip is running seven times faster than current chips. Maybe run every calculation until get two or three the same or maybe a win by two scenario and pick that as the correct answer, so long as on average you will get two agreeing ones in less that seven iterations you are still running faster with less watts to do the calculation.

    Well have tried keeping tabs on what dozens and dozens are up to? As some bands do slip through the cracks. Though MusicBrainz is now offer this with their collections service telling you when a band has a new album out.

    But won't it only be turned on when they are on duty? While you are working/on duty doesn't your boss have the right to know where you are and what you are doing? I am on an agile project at the moment and have a stand up each morning saying what I have done since the last stand up and what I am going to do before the next stand up. So is this invading my privacy?

    Taking your foot off the accelerater in a F1 gives you 1G of decelleration (and that is before hitting the breaks)

    There aren't any 4-car F1 teams (which might be prohibited by its rules anyways)

    Rules say 2 drivers 2 cars in race. (Though that part of the rule book is about a page long)

    And the only 2 sports with higher viewership is the Soccer World Cup and the Summer Olympics, which only hapen every 4 years

    The marshalls may be local. But Sid Watkins is the head doctor and travels to all the grand prixs and drives in a car that is driven by a F3000 (race level below F1) driver. At each GP Sid has meetings with all the local hospitals and the doctors who are going to be on duty over the weekend.

    All the races are controled by Charlie Whiting who manages all the marshalls and other aspects reagarding saftey during the race.

    The British just grid the HD up into dust. Then lock the dust away incase someone wants to make the dust back into a HD and read the data.

    Yeah here is NZ most places are Coke or Pepsi. Also the campus also only has one brewery allowed to sell and advertise.

    A cricket test (the 5 day version of the sport) is one of the greatest sporting events there is. There are great amounts of stratergy etc involved. And with what other sports can you sit on a grassy embankment drinking beer wacthing the best sport in the world in the middle of summer?

    Here in New Zealand this is how our system works.

    You go into the polling booth and they look up your name on the roll and cross your name out (They then go and check all the lists to make sure you only voted once).

    Then on the book of voting forms on the butt they write the page and the line number from the electrol roll. The voting paper has a number behind a silver panel that can be rub off with a coin or something.

    So there is checking that we don't vote twice and your name is hidden firstly behind the page and line number then behind the form number. So it is basilcy secret unless you vote twice and they start looking through everything to remove your votes. This has never actually happen as most peoples wiining margins are greater than the number of people who voted twice.

    Well here in New Zealand we are 2 more hours into the futrue than you are :)
