    The Porsche GT is mostly corresponding to the canceled Group B rally cars of the 80's and is a distant relative to the iconic Porsche 959, but with about 50% more power than the 959, and with power that would have blown the a$$ of the competition in Formula 1 before the turbo era.

    No surprise that things happens when you put one of those beasts on the road, and city streets aren't a race track with predictable pavement and surroundings.

    That depends on the conditions entirely - locked wheels in semi-loose snow is actually best for braking because when you don't lock the brakes the wheels roll over the snow.

    The thing with ABS is that it allows you to retain some steering control over the vehicle even when you brake hard, but when it's too slippery not even ABS works, the only thing that do work is real studded winter tires.

    There are worse places than the Fukushima area. Several places in what used to be the Soviet Union are badly contaminated, some so bad that it's still a state secret.

    No matter where you dump it - it will be a problem. A closed off area that is already contaminated or rendered unusable would be the best.

    Going back far enough you only have one man and one woman that are the basis for Homo Sapiens.

    But they may never have met - the lineages for males and females have been on different paths. All the variations we see are from mutations, and maybe in some cases DNA exchange through viruses.

    The only thing to do is to use misdirection and misleading information to those that collects data if you can't bounce them with stuff like AdBlock or do not call registry.

    Always buy zip-ties and vaseline at the same time. If someone asks - then buy some candy too and tell them that they don't want to know.

    Zip-ties are great when doing some work on your car, vaseline protects electrical connectors and candy is there to keep the blood sugar up for those times when you have been working on the car for too long without food.

  7. This isn't the only driver for faster and better networks, but you also need to look who's paying for it - it's all the small time savers that can't afford such a system.

    To avoid this the trade system should delay all transaction with a random factor between 10 and 20 minutes. That should make microtrading completely useless.

    It doesn't matter which kind of business you are in if you blow the whistle - you will get beaten harder than the offender.

    There are other ways - anonymous leaks to the top brass, press and authorities, "accidents" causing "essential" material to disappear or be destroyed. (oops, I accidentally dropped your PC out the window... Or just a "mix-up" of PC:s at the workplace) At worst a fire cleansing.

    Or you just STFU.

    Employers are scared of hiring someone with more experience than they have themselves because they are afraid that you will take over the company.

    At the same time young employees keeps repeating mistakes made already by programmers that were around in the 70's, 80's and 90's.

    I agree - look at the reviews of sites like Newegg and other similar sites is useful, but the most useful reviews are the reviews that contains some presentation of the disadvantages of the product in question. A review that is all the way positive is pretty useless, I want to know the limitations of the product I buy to know if it's worth the money. All products have limits, but not all limits are a problem for me as a user.

    It's like shopping clothes - you can of course buy XXL clothes to have a spacy solution that you can use everywhere, but it won't look good and can be a disadvantage in some cases. I want clothes that fits my lifestyle.

    I run Asterisk with the Blacklist option, so all the telemarketers gets is "This number is not in use".

    Or have a redirection message stating "The new number is ..." and insert some good number like the local time information service, FBI, random McDonalds restaurant, morgue, random known telemarketer, live radio show... Take your pick.

    An even better exercise would be to actually memorize the path to ride before you go out. If you take the wrong turn you may realize that sooner or later and just backtrack. Either you ride a fixed track for exercise or you ride for discovering things. If you get lost on the road you shouldn't be riding without someone leading you.
