Unfortunately you have to be creationist and anti-abortion these days to be a viable candidate in the Republican party.

That's why people avoid them - the Republicans are chewing away at both science and the personal freedom to rule your own life. The freedom left that they push for is the freedom to have a gun - which is completely useless when it comes to real world issues.

There are several months left and anything can happen. Hillary in jail, Trump going in as independent and the Democrats have to either back Sanders or throw in someone new.

Looking at the Republican field there's a whole lot of crazy going on there.

Republican Freedom: No free abortion, creationism instead of science.
Democratic Freedom: Added taxes, gun restrictions.

The reality is that both are shit or outfits like DHS and TSA would have been relaxed when Bush went out and US is declining in the freedom league - and that started to go downhill with Reagan. And I'm not only talking about economic freedom, but overall freedom.

A surge protector for 230-240 volts is what's needed.

So get a power strip with surge protection for Schuko (Common style in most of Europe) connectors, replace the plug with a male connector same as power supplies as stationary computers have and then get a country specific power cable in the country visited.

The reason to use the Shuko connector is that most devices are available in European format alternative, fewer in the UK format and the Schuko plug is smaller than the UK plugs as well. Any talk about need to identify live and neutral is just bollocks on anything manufactured after 1980.

If all the power supplies connected are auto-ranging up to 240 volts there's no need to have a voltage specific surge protector, the power supplies can cope with it.
