    CA will have to choose if they support feds or protect their local corporations. I don't think that they want to see google move outside of US jurisdiction.

    Amundsen went low tec to South Pole. It was Scott's (or Shackleton's) f.... idea to use ponies and motor sledges. I don't think that Helen's bike is edible.

    Pretty damn close to a Nimitz, isn't it?

    Maybe from top, if you ignore basic numbers and how it looks from the side.

    Number of aircraft on Nimitz is missing. Displacements are missing. Get those numbers to clear your view. Variag is not 50 planes plus helicopters. It is ~50 planes and helicopters and Chinese prefer helicopters over planes compared to Russian Kuznetsov.

    Flight deck is 75% of Nimitz size. Nimitz has full flight deck and Variag has only ski-jump. Do you really think that Russians or Chinese can launch aircraft with same payload from shorter flight deck?

    If you got a bunch of spam emails from friends with Yahoo accounts, all consisting of a single word or sentence and a driveby malware link? that was the FF XSS bug.

    So lack of proper sanitizing in webmail or other yahoo part has nothing to do with that.

    We ban crude oil imports, Iran blockades the Straight of Hormuz, the US bombs Iran.

    Iran's exports go to the left.They might have to lower their oil prices. If they insist on payments in Euros or Yens, Chinese might have to convert their currency reserves. It will push USD lower.

    Traffic shaping is also forbidden

    If ISP can sell you 1Mbps, 2Mbps and 10Mbps plans, they are shaping traffic. If laws prevent shaping, your ISP will be able to sell you only plans with download counters. Thank you, I would rather have shaped line instead of traffic counter.

    And if they preempt before closing and mining water way?

    You assume that first Iranian move will be some passive act which does not impact your force and gives you justification to smash them to smithereens. If water way is not closed and Iran runs ground/air based radar scan on Persian gulf, is it act of aggression or just annoying radar or aircraft? It is their territorial waters after all and they just happen to have greater range than territorial water limit.

    You can have 500 mile striking distance, but you will have to close those miles to find targets that are passively waiting for your crafts.

    The US fleet except would stand off outside of cruise missile range except for forward deployed Submarines. F-18 and land based F-16s, F15s, and F-22s would hunt any recon aircraft that are sent out to locate the fleet.

    Your strategy implies that US will dare to shoot first, they will attack any aircraft and they will be able to find targets before closing to Iranian striking distance.

    If it is issued by US government and it does not apply to US citizens, then to whom it applies? non-US citizens are outside of US jurisdiction.

    Do you think other side was sitting around ever since? Plus my point was not about exercise. My point was that attack's scope was wider than Blues expected and they could not handle it.

    Do you have something to foot your words? When Israelis threatened somebody with nuclear strike? Europeans withdraw support in the middle of last century. Now Israel is supported only by US. Israelis never admit that they are nuclear. When did they do something genocidal or acted as fundamentalist regime. Last time I checked, Israelis was democracy. Palestinians can't establish own state without going into civil war. They live in region which formed multiple cultures and yet insist that they own whole region. If you exchange 1 Israelis of 1000 of Palestinians, people might start calculating values based on exchange rate. Before bombs went off in Lebanon, rockets exploded in Israel. Can you stop rockets without crossing the border?

    Banana republics don't work either as last century politics of some countries showed. For some reason USA don't have lots of friends in own continent.

    Aftermath of WW2 is cold war and harassment of other countries by US. Cold war ended. Remnants of it still existing in Korean peninsula. Aggressive US politics continue.

    Since when Middle East is only Europe's problem. Your country started two wars against independent countries and now you expect others to foot your overextended military budget. Persians hate Americans and not Europeans.

    Iran's possession of nukes is a warranty of WMD in hands of theocracy which threatened to destroy other country. MAD implies that both sides are reasonable and have something to lose. Religious freak dreaming about 72 virgins in paradise or authoritarian regime on brink of collapse is not something reasonable.

    If we go into stated policy things, then Iran is not developing any nuclear weapons. Right....
