That's the argument used for living in extreme cold. We were told that ethnic cultures such as the Zulu's were tall because that was the best way to radiate heat (taller == more elongated == more surface area/volume), and that the Innuit were short and round due to the extreme cold (shorter == more spherical == less surface area/volume).
I run a web hosting company, and we state explicity in our TOS/Legal that "No guarantees are made of any kind, either expressed or implied, as to the integrity of these backups." I don't think there are too many companies out there that will guarantee data under all circumstances. The legal implications are too great.
Heck, even I keep alternate backups of my own data!
It is interesting to be sure, but any search engine you must pay to be included in will be lacking a bit... okay, alot. I couldn't find a couple of things I would have expected to find in a good search engine that crawls public links. When I went to submit site to see the process it looks like the only way to be sure a site is crawled is to pay up. Any search engine that gives preferential treatment to paying clients is not going to be my search engine of choice.
Maybe not quite false advertising, but definately on the borderline. It annoys me as well, especially when you have to wait 3 months for your rebate check.
I agree, I went to American public schools. I also learned about this long long ago. I am pretty sure in about 3rd grade.. My teacher was Mr. Sokoloff. He had an odd accent, and called us all Comrade.
I guess I don't need to worry about my social security afterall!!!

Then why am I tall and fat?

I think Google would be more popular if it featured a woman's chest.
There was a Black Arthur Dent in Blazing Saddles?
