If it's a big company, there's a chance that you can get reorganized to a different area, possibly getting away from what ales you. However, I've always believed that money talks...
This seems dangerous to consumers. States can, at any time, subpoena Amazon.com and other online suppliers to regard tax revenue? What's the statue of limitations on this? Most states are hard up for tax dollars right now, and this could be one very scary way for states to generate revenue. Just a thought...
I don't understand why the government has not seen the RIAA as an orginization that doesn't adhear to the rules that it's set for everyone else. They have such deep pockets, they can make the effort to locate the artists and pay the royalties. Don't be surprised that this has happened. There's much more to come out of this...
About a year ago, I decided to "officially" get diagnosed with ADD. My doctor asked me when I first noticed that I had a problem staying focused. I told him that I quit drinking coffee during the day. He told me that people with ADD usually find that they concentrate better when drinking coffee, because the caffeine keeps them "stimulated".
If you're like me, you'll just end up replacing one stimulant for another. If you decide to "kick the habit", you might find out that there was a reason why that caffeine was so good!
Tivo's business model is upsetting everyone. Advertisers get commercials skipped, shows are getting ripped and download from the web... it doesn't surprise me that they're trying to keep their "source code" in house.
If it wasn't for someone having their image of the OS out there, I wouldn't have been able to fix my Tivo Series 2 that's less that one year old!
Great... my mom will read this, set up a home network, and then I'll have to support it. Does the madness ever end?!
I wonder if Apple will delay the release because of this leak? That'd suck!

I believe that global warming is caused by all the farting that Americans do. It's that high fat diet, I tell you! :)

I think I'm a full time tech support for my mom and all of her friends. It doesn't pay much, but it's better than working the poll!
If Star Trek would die, so would half of the conversations on Slashdot!
I'm just glad I won't have to go out and upgrade my video card for this game. Seems like every time there's a new game out, I'm upgrading.
Oh, yeah, Linux is better than Windows... blah blah blah.
Being that this is being discussed on slashdot, it should then be assumed that the RIAA blames the 42% increase on music piracy. :)

about time they open up this thing. They're billions of dollars over budget!
