As to how to set the limits on the number of forks. Maybe I got this completly wrong but could it be that this depends entirely on your hardware? Perhaps the latest IBM mainframe can handle a few more then an ancient 386? How the hell is the distro supposed to know what I got?
Yah... having your OS detect your hardware; how the hell can we possibly do that?
... that's not an alternative.
You just suggest using nuclear power to smelt aluminum rather then using nuclear power to run electrolysis plants.
Some how I bet that electrolysis is a lot more efficient then an aluminum plant and a lot cleaner and a lot safer.
First off you don't lose the rights to what ever you post you only give AOL the rights to use it as well.
But anyway. What they originally ment by 'posting Content on an AIM Product' was public content.
Think about it. If you post a message on a message board and don't give the company the rights to display your message.... how are they suppose to legally show it?
The misunderstand was that the original TOS didn't specifically say that only public postings would be used, but that is what they ment. So there fore it was a misunderstanding.

Yeah..I was wondering what the heck a 'hand tumor' was.
I'd guess it's a tumor that's in the hand; cancer. But it would be nice to be able to scratch your nuts, and your butt at the same time.
I like most men can already do this.... because I have two hands.
It was a misunderstanding. AIM never wanted to spy on you. They just wanted legal protection for other aim products like (as the new TOS points out) rate a buddy.
Basically what they always ment to say is that if you put your picture on rate a buddy then we have the right to use that picture how ever we want.
The problem was that it wasn't clearly worded that only public postings could be used in this way by AOL.
So they aren't trying to spin this, what they're saying is the truth.
That's exactly the first thing that popped into my head when I read this.
What exactly are they working on? Just stick a lens at the end of an optic cable and a dome on the other and bam free lighting.
Well the real question would be is do you have to pay extra depending on how much upstream you use?
If not why would it matter if their using your unused bandwidth?
Ahhh but you see it's all part of Bush's master plan.
If he runs the country out of money we'll have no choice but to shrink the government.
He's a tricky one that Bush.
I think the immune system can claim it had this idea first.
I mean seriously scanning for virus useing a signature data base; who hasn't had this idea?
I was thinking more of electrical discharges frying your computer.
