I tried Firefox before and loved the functionality and speed. However it kept temporarily going into never-neverland locking up my machine for 30-90 seconds at a time. I refreshed my Win2K machine (for other reasons) and decided to try again because of the 1.0 release. It did the same thing again!
I knew a lot of guys in High School who talked just like you. They were all self-absorbed, unrealistic, and unmotivated. 15 years later they work crappy jobs near the small town we grew up in. Meanwhile I do quite nicely, thank you.
My advice? Play the friggin' game. No employer/boss gives a crap about your bullshit about being too smart for school. If you're really that smart, get straight A's. Go ahead and try it, you'll find it's not so easy. Try a major that is something challenging like engineering or physics or microbiology or pre-med. All my friends that had those degrees weren't necessarily the smartest but they had to work their asses off. They'd love a lazy punk like you to come in and drag down the curve so they do even better.
In 10 years when you're in a crappy job, just keep holding onto the "I'm too smart for this" thing. It'll be all you got in your miserable life.
I grew up on a farm. No I didn't get up with the chickens, but I did have many 12 hour days of physical labor in some god-awful heat. So when I get stressed, I remember I'm making 6 figures, SITTING all day in an air conditioned office typing a bunch of stuff into a computer. Even better, I don't have my old man around to yell at me.
Next time you take a vacation in the summer, come visit my dad's farm. You'll be thankful for your job and boss after a week.
First, do it on a weekend. Not being at work will help you (less stress, okay to nap). Next, go cold turkey. Cutting down is crud. Be strong. The last trick? Drink LOTS of water. No Koolaid or decaff'd tea. Only water. (I figured out most of the time I thought I needed caffeine my body was really craving fluids.)
I did the above. The headaches gone by Monday and I've been caf-free ever since! No desire for a soda or coffee. Every once in a while I'll do tea.
I agree! When Napster was in full bloom I was downloading music AND buying CD's from artists I normally would not. (Like Wu Tang Clan, for example.) Without the ability to download, I don't listen to music that much anymore. Who's gonna pay $15 for a CD of an artist they don't know of?

I had to laugh at your last line. I barely could get a 25 year old when I WAS 25. Now I have one and I'm 35! LOL
