T-Mobile. The other GSM providers (AT&T & Cingular) do not have a presence in my area yet so I can safely say it was a T-Mobile tower. It was in New Haven, Indiana. Not exacly New York City, but decent coverage. I don't have problems with several other phones I've own so I attributed it to the phone.

That is correct. It doesn't necessarily mean that. But there is a very good chance that would be the tower that you would get since it probably would have the strongest signal. Also, if you are on a fringe area, it may be the only tower for some distance, so if you are getting a signal, then that would be the tower you'd hook up with. The particular area that I had the most problem with was exactly that type of problem. My Moto Timeport, Nokia 3390, and Samsung S105 never had any problems, but my T68 did.

I was expressing my opinion. I said in another post that this is what I experienced. Maybe your's was different. I do know that I am not the only one that was disappointed by the poor reception.

See here for all the problems that people have had. I probably should have said that your reception may suck. Everyone hasn't had problems, but many people have possibly do to the internal antenna.

Whatever the reason is, I think that there are many better phones out there. The screen has an inferior resolution to most color phones out there right now, doesn't have polyphonic or better ringtones (if that interests you), or java applets/midlets. If you want to go spend 199 for the T68 or 299 for the T68i, go for it. I'm just telling you my experience. I thought that the $200 I paid for my S105 was a better deal.

I purchased a T68 (the T68i is just cosmetically different for the most part) and the signal was horrorible. Dropped calls, choppy reception...and that was within line of sight of a tower about 300 yards away. Inside buildings or farther away was even worse. Check out Amazon's reviews, howardforum.com, or any other place that has reviews of the phone and you'll see that this isn't just my opinion. This was last October that I experienced this. Maybe they found it was a firmware thing (not likely) or something else wrong since then, but I doubt it.

    2. Upload a real program that they ARE authorized to copy. They get access, see what is there, download, and press charges.

    3 plural usually heros : SUBMARINE 2
4 : an object of extreme admiration and devotion : IDOL

There are more then one type of hero. I agree that WWII soldiers are heroes. I'd say that the in most cases, maybe even all, police/firefighters at the WTC were heroes.

I say that ALL the astronauts are heroes...past, present, and future. Thousands of kids (and adults judging from stories that I have read) have looked up to astronauts with amazement, fantasy, and desire. They have given the public glimpses of what it is like to be in space, presented us with invaluable data from scientific experiences...the list goes on and on.

I think that it would be the greatest thing in the world to be able to do what they do. Will I ever get a chance to do that...probably not in my life time or my kids lifetime. Could I ever do what they have done/accomplished? Probably not either. Astronauts are the cream of the crop. You don't walk onto a space ship without going through years of physical, psychological and education/scientific training. All of these things add up to a hero for me. I have nothing but the utmost extreame admiration towards all cosmonauts.

They did catch a bad break. It's unfortunate that we lost 7 lives, some of which were very bright individuals that possessed talents few have. Please don't rain on other people's feelings. If someone feels that they are a hero to them, then they are a hero. Maybe they did not sacrifice their lives in a battle of freedom from tyranny, rescue your dog from the street, or stop a violent crime, but that none the less does not make them any less a hero to many.

In the case of raytracing, modeling 3D animation like Pixar, or other similar work...isn't that processor bound? They do everything in memory, then output a single 2d frame. Then repeat for the next frame. Once all the frames have been rendered, then they add them together to make the movie.

For video editing...that would always be in 2D.

Wouldn't the only thing that a 3D card be useful for is real time displaying of 3D enviroments?

The 24-hour "disclaimer" is usually seen on the splash screen to a warez/appz/gamez/romz whatever site. Basically they think that by telling you that you have to delete the downloaded program or rom after 24 hours, that it is legal to share the copyrighted works. This 24 hour period will let you "test" it to make sure it is what you want.

Usually the notice is followed up by a "If you work for the Police, FBI, CIA, NSA or someother TLA, you are hearby forbidden from accessing any content on this site." Both notices hold 0 legal credibility.

Yes, some do like the IPod, but they are not immune to shocks though. Some (all?) models of the IPod have a 32mb buffer, quickly filled by most hard drives in a few seconds and will allow 20 minutes (+/- depending on encoding) of playback uninterrupted. During this time, the drive can spin down and the heads park so that it can sustain a considerable impact. When the drive is spinning and the head seaking, an impact can damage the drive either by a actual head collision with the platter or by damaging the voice coil that moves the heads.

Personally, I think that IPods are great for times when you want to listen to tunes at your desk, on a flight, in your car, etc. If I was going to work out or move around alot, I wouldn't want to bouce around with $500 hard drive. I'd much prefer something with solid state memory.
