What a terribly written and postulated article of what can only be a horribly bored person who just recently discovered that when you "wire" a "network" of computers together, it can be used to play games! Wake up the president!
The draw is just like any other long running video game series - the same general gameplay with more toys. In specific, the draw for Tekken is, unlike Virtua Fighter, its a relatively easy to learn, flashy, fast-paced, storyline-driven 3d fighter.
What are you talking about? Tekken 3 had every character represented other than Kazuya who was mostly replaced by a much cooler Jin. Tekken Tag had virtually every character ever in the series, plus some. Tekken 4 (which brought back Kazuya in addition to Jin) was missing only a Jack/Ganryu - aka the most unused characters ever. And even they're back in 5.
I picked up a GEForce 6800 "nu" last week after doing some research etc. The couple games I tried I was very happy with. And then.. I try to install Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow, which came free with the card - and it tells me it doesn't support the card even after patching. Awesome.
I definitely got my money's worth from this title but I regretfully bought it for my early-60's father a few years ago. He still plays it 10-20 hours a week. Single player. Ugh.
I remember having to go to his house and beat a (pre LOD) multishot Bremm Sparkfist for him because he was stuck on him for days. Good times..
I'll never understand the business model of a newspaper that puts its articles on their website. How the heck do they expect to make money from this? Cause its not from people clicking on their 2"x1" Tiffany's ad or from the inevitable spam people get when they like, actually use their real info when registering.
I am a pro poker player and let me tell you, poker is NOT a good game. 85-90% of the time you have to look at your first two cards, and throw them away, and wait for the next hand 2 minutes later. Then when you finally do pick up a real hand, you have to sit there and hope someone doesn't run you down. Not exactly thrilling.
I think you mean inflation.

Uh I hate to point out that we're going in circles here but I'll point to the "1 out of 40 million online for PS2" number again.
So how are they making money off that, again?

Now if only they'll bring back Midway pinball..
