However our representaives in america are famous for their soundbite filled political speechs that don't really say anything. so we really don't know too much of what is going to happen when they go into office. When our "elected representatives" do go to propose or vote on new laws they are mainly getting there info from thinktanks and lobbyists. So in order for us to change anything not only do we have to vote for who we want but we have to shout to make ourselves heard above the tides of money in the form of lobbyists.

When they become adults and get a job they will see nothing wrong with having the company doing psychological and physical tests on them during the interview. They will no longer feel the threat of having everything they do be tracked by the smart ID card they use not only for purchases but for access to their work, home, car, etc. These systems that will make it easier for use to do teh things we do will also make it easier for anyone to know what we do. They will look at us as overreacting old fools when we refuse to take any job that requires a psychological or physical test.

This is already happening by the way - companies that have no real reason to have such tests are making their employees take them. My moms company has recently started this. The new employees have to take a psychological test and a physical exam where they are given a normal health check up and are made to do jumping jacks and push ups. What are these companys doing with this information? What's stopping them from handing it out to insurance companys?

Weeeee talk about your innane morally. Why couldn't they have made the angels blue or something? Or are they stuck in that traditional white males are the true chosen ones thing too. I wonder if they portray God or Jesus as a white anglo-saxon male too. Oh yeah while I am ranting - it's a good thing those puny little female angels have the big strong male archangels to back them up. Will there eventually be a plugin to make all the demons look jewish or black? Maybe we can have a plugin that turns it into 1940 Germany too?

Oh and another thing - why is it that whenever /. has any sort of religous article the posts always resort to: "Christians are bad remember the Inquistion... No their not! Christians are people too... Well then, organized religon is bad" and why do those same tired posts get moderated so high? We should be debating the game and how its cultural impact not religon as a whole.

Where do you think the money for your Cell Phone goes?

Cell Phone companys don't have their own phone network. Someone has to pay for the connection when your call gets connected to a Cell Phone Node and then gets connected to a local phone system. Part of that per minute rate you pay goes to the local phone company.

Actually modem users don't always get the best end of the stick when it comes to phone system upgrades.

They recently upgraded the phone system where my parents live to digital routers. This was done to allow for more phone lines and allow for a clearer line. However their modem took a drop in speed because now their phone lines get converted from analog to digital and then back to analog when it goes to their isp service. this results in slightly more line noise and a reduction in speed.

So if you are a modem user and you are in a area with digital routers (most of the US soon) your modem is slower then it should be because of the improvements that the Phone Companies made for the Voice users.
