Yup. Data caps are still kept super low. Zero point in 5G speeds until that's fixed.

  2. I have an S8+, and I knew it was notorious for breaking easy. Even with a case, it fell out of my pocket while changing my car oil, and broke from a 2" fall. I won't buy another Samsung phone until reviews say that's been solved :P

  3. I'm not buying another Samsung phone. I have an S8+. With a case. It fell out of my pocket while under the car changing oil, and the screen shattered. This was a1-2" drop. They claim to be using gorilla glass, but clearly are not. It's 299$ just for the parts on Amazon, who knows what it will be to get it repaired at these places. Why would they advertise for this? Obviously there are too many broken phones ;\

  6. The Right Way To Do It on DOJ: We Don't Need a Warrant To Track You · · Score: 1

I used to work Search and Rescue in the USCG, and almost every 'overdue boater' case we'd work on getting this very same cell phone information. Sure it was time critical (life/limb, etc) but even then we'd go through the proper channels. We'd just call and give them a heads up we'd need info on this number, they start the process then wait for *us* to meet the legal requirements before handing over the info, which 9 times out of 10 would show us that this 'overdue boater' just forgot to call his wife while out for beers along the coast :P There is *never* an excuse to not use the proper channels.

Good summary. As for the Sixaxis, were you telling the Android user they can't pair up a Sixaxis, or the N900? It took me forever, and I almost broke my Windows 7 install (something funky with the USB drivers and 64 bit) as Sony's controllers don't work outright. But they pair up nicely now with my N900, even the sixaxis part works, now I just have to figure out how to disable the tilt sensor, it's messing with the C-64 emulator :P

After reading a different mobile phone thread on Slashdot, someone mentioned how much they loved their Nokia N900. I picked one up after that, and I absolutely love it. I even managed to put NES/SNES/Genesis/C-64 emulators on it, and paired a PS3 controller to it, good times. It supports skype / google video calls, and uses wifi. It's the most modern phone I've used, so I don't have anything to compare it to, but I enjoy it :P

  12. Notes? on "Live Expansion" Announced for Warhammer Online · · Score: 3, Interesting

I'm disappointed they havent listed any patch notes, or game balance changes. WAR is a good game, but there's definite issues with it. Whoever coded the mail system likely did the buff/debuff updates. I have a great gaming PC (new quad core + 4870x2) and I can get 30-50FPS during a keep raid, UNTIL I target something with lots of buffs/debuffs on it, such as a keep door. Even with buffs disabled, nothing showing on my screen I instantly drop to 1 frame every 3 seconds. Theres some serious issues there. I'm also an Archmage, and really sick of invisible Witch Elves dropping me before I can even cast one instant ability, thanks to stun + silence and obscene DPS. Other than those issues, I have a great time in open combat with my guild, there's routinely 100+ people online each night in our guild, fun times!
