We have all seen the "make $10,000 a day using adsense" - won't this only increase the ad revenue for these potential scams and in turn have more of these scam ads proliferating the net?
I don't believe that any reasonable person believed that online sales would not eventually be taxed. This government after all - thier job is to find things to tax after all. I assume it took this long because of the ineptitude of beuracracy.
I currently have a broadband connection but have a cap on the total bandwidth for the month. How do they propose getting around this problem which it appears just about everyone has. What happens when I get cut off in the middle of the month for excessive use?
The way these items get passed is with continually trying the bill again. I have seen unpopular laws passed at the local level that were thrown out repeatedly until eventually the right opposers were either not present or just plain old tired of fighting it. I believe the term is patient gradualism. Just keep trying to get a law passed, until eventually new lawmakers are present or the opposition is not present at the time.
The idea of the java hijacking the threads and using all of the cpu power is what is the main problem here. Who wants to open up a page that suddenly uses all of their cycles and makes their computer useless for anything else while this is running. I think that I would be willing to donate some of my cycles but Java has a bad habit of locking up the browser till the process is completed.
I didn't see anything that answered the question of why this would happen. I may be slow but shouldn't it either fail or work? Is storage being lost and therefore getting less with more time used to find a good area? Please don't mod me as troll for not knowing (maybe flamebait for being stupid, I guess)
I believe that this is the main reason that google did not want to have shareholders that are looking at the next quarter instead of coming up with ideas that are not profitable at the moment but move technology ahead and will be profitable in the future.
Maybe this is supposed to be a local infection by design. Maybe to attack a local business or gov. office. Anybody have any ideas of how a local ip could be used to attack something?
I don't see any uses of this if the bits are not in binary, we are too entrenched to write all new code that changes all of the math that has already been worked out.
On the early Mac OS versions was a sound effect that was labeled sosumi (so sue me) - a reference to Apple(music) that prohibited the Apple computer from making any sound.
Trivia for the day
It seems to me like they are exploiting the term "hacking". Don't know if this is a silly question or not. But...Is there a way to quantify the use of the term? Is there a line in the sand that qualifies for hacking past the social norm?
Up in the great white north we have gadgets that cook kabasa under the hood of your snowmobile. I have heard of store bought ones but never seen one. After a 3 or 4 hour ride, whatever is in the box is heated or cooked enough to have a beside trail snack.
we could get the AOL operators to do tech support. We exchange people that want to talk with the people that try to get you off the line in 18 seconds or less. patent pending
I love the browser but the memory leaks are the biggest problem IMHO. I have faith that it will be fixed eventually, but it still gets irritating after extensive browsing.
You have brought up a bit of a quandry here. When all is said and done and SCO is officially dead, and the lawyers have to find other work, will this be a feather in their cap with SCO on their resume or will they be seen as the bottom feeding scum that they are. You may not like the job they are doing but they are certainly doing it rather well.
I know that China is the "new world" and all but for every company to fall all over themselves to deal with them is a bit rediculous. A country that prides itself in constraining all markets, destroying their populace and basically giving the middle finger to rest of the planet is put on a pedestal by the countries that should be invading them to free their people? As all the "free" countries fall all over themselves to sell and buy from a country that is as close to slave labour as we have presently. Maybe we should just forget about them for a while and they may go away, just like Soviet Russia.
Before you mod me to hell, think about when you purchase your Walmart crap that is produced by children that don't make enough to feed themselves.

I don't think you wandered off topic, I think you are directly ontarget.
C'mon, there are hundreds of ways for me to die everyday. If I have to start worrying about the sky falling on me, I might as well pack it in now.

Am I the only one that sees the word "Debit" and not "credit". These are two different cards. A debit card is very different from a credit card.

I did my part by not actually clicking on the link and giving it one more page hit.
