lol... well considering that Melbourne, like the rest of AU, uses 900Mhz already (was what the first digital phones used) I think you would have noticed any problems by now;)
1800 and 900 Mhz are the most common here in Australia. Originally it was all 900 Mhz but then the dual-band phones came out and they installed 1800 Mhz towers.
I would say that the coverage on both frequencies would be the similar but I may be wrong. In the metropolitan area it should be the same, out of the city I would say its a different story.
I think it would be best to get a model that works with 900 but really it also depends on what other countries use.

Apache/1.3.14 Server at shop.sco.com Port 80
Sheesh... Apache 1.3.14.. man, thats an old version.
TeacherReviews.com is free site I run for students which lets students share opinions of professors with other students. I have been pressured to shut it down. I'm not sure if it will be down forever or just a short amount of time until some changes are made. Please read on to find out why and what I am going to do about it.
Yesterday and tonight I talked with a professor who was extremely upset with what written about him on TeacherReviews. He had several inappropriate reviews that made unfounded accusations and inappropriate untruthful remarks such as calling him "Bipolar Paranoid Schitzophrenic." These reviews should not have been on the site.
I immediately deleted this professor's reviews, as I always do those rare times that a professor complains. He still threatened to sue - and even threatened to get the involvement of the teacher's union American Federation of Teachers. A lawsuit is not something I have the time or money to be involved in, no matter how confident I am that the courts would side in the favor of free speech and the site.
This would be the first lawsuit against TeacherReviews, however TeacherReview, the precursor site to TeacherReviews had one lawsuit against in about four years ago. TeacherReview had a "no review is ever deleted" policy. The ACLU helped defend TeacherReview, and TeacherReview achieved a victory - the two professors involved settled just days before the San Francisco Superior Court hearing.
The purpose of Teacher Reviews has always been to help students find the best professors to take, however the quality and reliability of TeacherReviews has been diminished by the few users who have used the site to write insults, accusations, remarks that can be considered slanderous.
As I find about about these reviews, I always delete them. They no have merit, are not helpful to anyone, and are obviously the product of a bored student who just wants to harm the reputation of a professor. That is not the purpose of TeacherReviews.
There are over 36,000 reviews on the site - far too many for me to read and evaluate. Because of this, and the threat of lawsuit, I have elected to take down TeacherReviews.com for now - at least until I can make some needed changes to how the site works.
Here are some of the changes I hope to put in place:
* Instant review removal. As a rule, I have always removed reviews upon a professor's request. Today the system is manual and it is not obvious enough how it works. The new system will have a link for removing reviews next to every review. Anybody will be able to instantly remove inappropriate reviews. Some friends and I will evaluate these removed reviews.
* Easy professor removal. I believe professors should have the right to make their reviews be private. A professor will have the ability to hide all reviews from public view. Reviews posted will be emailed to that professor, but not shared with the rest of the world. The number of reviews and possibility other information will remain on the site.
* Hide Reviews from Google. One of the complaints I got from a the professor was that if you searched Google for his name, his reviews would show up pretty high in the list of found items. Normally this is a good thing, but if the reviews are inappropriate, then it is not approbate for the to be showing up in Google.
* Email notification of New Reviews. Professors should not have to regularly visit TeacherReviews to see if they have new reviews posted. This feature will give them the option of receiving email when new reviews are posted. Students will be able to use this feature as well. New reviews will also be available via RSS.
* Date-separated reviews. Today reviews that are two years old and older are listed along side of recent reviews. Since people change, I believe that these older reviews need to be identified as older reviews, and be put on a separate page.
If you want to make sure your page looks the same in each browser use valid HTML. It is when you start doing things that are not valid and incorrectly nesting tags that things go wrong.
Decide which standard to code your page in (HTML 4.01 Transitional or XHTML 1.0 Transitional are good), put the right doctype on the page and then code according to the standard. Check your page using the W3C validator and fix any errors. Check your CSS document for errors too.
I do not use CSS for layouts since they never render the same in each browser, I still use tables. Just us CSS for fonts, sizes and general formatting that is accepted by all browsers.
Don't use this program to edit any HTML files containing PHP code. It does not like PHP code and will actually modify the file and partially remove your PHP code.
So... unless you feel like loosing your programming code and completely stuffing up your file, stay away from this program.
Pixar at first needed Disney to promote them, but now the tables have turned and its Disney that needed Pixar. The talent and ideas at Pixar are a lot better than anything Disney has produces. All of the latest block-buster releases that have held the Disney name were made by Pixar.
But one thing to note is that this decision will not have an immediate impact. "The Incredibles" due this year and "Cars", expected in 2005, will still be distributed by Disney.
I remember when I used to work in a computer store around 1998->1999. We started getting systems with USB header pins on the board and support for it in the BIOS but no connectors and no devices. It is only in the last couple of years that USB has really taken off.
My video card has a DVI connector and standard D-Sub on it but my LG 19" inch has no DVI connection. I have yet to use it. Until the displays start featuring it on them its not much point having it on the computer. Also its not much point having displays that use DVI without having many systems supporting it. I would almost say that each one is waiting on the other:)
Also you need to look at the upgade cycle. Not everyone is a computer geek, not everyone has the latest graphics cards and computer gear. When new technology gets released it will take a while to penetrate and become common place.
If you get infected you have the cost of fixing the computers, downtime and lost productivity, loss of earnings, etc. All of this can up to many thousands of dollars.
The company I work for has not become infected, the only cost of the virus is stupid bounce back messages and an hour of my time fine-tuning our mail server config. Due to this the virus has cost us something, but its hardly worth mentioning.
The cost of having a good anti-virus system is really easy to justify.
CTRL+SHIFT+DEL
I can easily put my finger between the CTRL and Shift Key, pressing down both at the same time. Now say I accidently do that when using CTRL-DEL to do a Cut operation. Ooops I just reset my computer.
The reason they are doing this is due to the security hole that was found in IE recently.
Instead of fixing the bug that is causing they security hole they remove the feature. How stupid and dumb is that? It is more-or-less saying, "We have got no idea how to program and cannt make enough sense of our own code to fix a security issue."
Are you running the latest version of OS X. OS X 10.3 (Panther) has the IP over Firewire built-in. Before that it was available as an extension. If you are not running 10.3 then update and try again.
Also just saw this nice tutorial about this. Have a look and make sure you have done all the required steps. Also have a look though the comments.
"Specifically, when we determine the IP address of an infringer, we would like to send you the IP address along with a Notice of Infringement that you would forward directly to the subscriber matching that address," the RIAA wrote. "You would not identify the subscriber to us. However, we believe if you forward the Notice to them it will dramatically increase awareness and effectively discourage continued infringement."
I am pretty sure that most (all?) of the people who share files on a large scale know that the content is copyright and really don't give a flying farkle.
What will they do with this letter when they get it? Laugh at it and use it as toilet paper sounds likely.:)
The virus uses exe files, company mail server is setup to block all executable attachments. Any emails that make it through that are then scanned. Easy solution.
Quote from the Wikipedia on XML: "Its primary purpose is to facilitate the sharing of structured text".
It was designed for the storage of structured text. A word processor creates structured text. It is sort of logical to use the technology that was designed to store what you are creating. How is that being innovative or original? If they were using some other technology for this and it was not designed for this usage then maybe they would have a case.
This is like someone creating and image format and Adobe taking out the patent to save documents in that format. It is dumb.
Why do they need fans at all... they should have developed some sort of water-cooling/heat-pipe for this sort of device. The other thing you can do is put in a high Mhz CPU and under-clock it so that it runs a lot cooler than normal.
I have family that are still using the old Nokia 5110's :) They are 900Mhz only. Not everyone is a geek you know.

I was looking at a few examples and tried out intitle:"Index of..etc" passwd. The first result is a honey pot :)
They have some Webalizer stats for the honey pot too.

It's based on Mozilla Composer and that program's GPL'ed.
Since when is Mozilla releasing stuff under GPL?
All their projects are released under the Mozilla Public License.

I think it leaves Disney in the crap :)

Here is the no rego NYTimes link for the article mentioned in the report.

The X-Box is not in the list, doesn't it run a version of windows too?

When new viruses comes out, me not worried.

The Fedora Core 1 for AMD64 Test1 Release FAQ is available. If you are having issues check it before posting a bug report.

When downloading this you should have a look at the mirrors list and find one near you.
