Its great to see a comment like this modded up. I personally have just commited myself to a new lifestyle. I accepted Jesus as my savior, and have been changing my habits of tv, friends, and other such daily occurances to eliminate as many violent, and sexually explicit things as I can. Its been amazing how much less things like obscene language and sex has occupied my thoughts. While I'm not sure video games and movies make kids violent it does open their mind to it more. I personally would rather see an unstable youth who goes over the edge, do so by cussing at his mom, or drinking a beer once a month. Instead of raping his sister, or over dosing on heroin.
Because its someone anyone can do. Once people who do such things are found out the children are taken away. Granted their are cases where the govt. slips and can't/doesn't take them away in time but at least they try. I'm sure if you in your infinite genious of quick posting an old, and uneffective argument such as that could invent a way to keep people who are going to mistreat their children from having kids it would be used.
Yes the Geforce 2 (GTS), voodoo5, and ati raedon all support antialias full screen. Infact that is where ati's chip shines the most. It spanks the gts, and voodoo5 like a little kid at 1600x1200 full screen antialias. Lower resolutions are where its not so hot.
They really shouldn't let Jon out of the geek compound anymore...
His biggest problem was that Stewart and McKellen's acting almost totally overwhelm the movie. Actually from my days of reading the X-men that is how it was supposed to be. ProfX and Magneto are both highly intelligent, and extremely powerful. They are leaders because of their appeal and overwhelming sense of power. The movie portrayed this in many ways, if the choice of actors did so on purpose or sheer luck it worked well and simply added to their charisma.
But X-Men has to be judged as a film and not as a political statement Then why include such a paragraph as It's easy to see why some geeks and many outcasts have always loved the X-Men a sentiment very much reflected in the movie. It's easy to resonate with a film that has a U.S. Senator pushing for the public listing of all "mutants" and seeking to remove them from the public school system of America because they might conceivably be dangerous. The very same thing, of course, is happening to "geeks, Goths and freaks" all over the United States today, post-Columbine.
And yet another bit of brilliance, and wonderment they never really seem to jell as a team. Nor did they in the comic series until MANY issues had come out, I forget the exact issue, but even until the late 300's it wasn't still peachy keen at the Mansion. I haven't read many since then so it may still be shaky ground:)
We're supposed to hate Magento, but there isn't anything particularly hateful about him.
Your right on this one, I'd never hate anyone who wanted to kill me because I wasn't "as good as him". Thats the irony of magneto, he basically wants to beat the homo-sapiens to the extinction of the other species. And to top it of, to reach his moral high ground of saving mutants, he is more than happy to sacrifice and destroy other mutants. On top of that he has no problems destroying children (Rogue) and some of the more compassionate mutants, trying to help save other mutants from the same alienation and hatred they have endured (ProfX).
isn't some powerful enemy, but pending legislation in Congress, one of the world's least effective and menacing institutions.
Again read the comic a bit, and learn about the fairly clever ways of dealing with mutants the government comes up with. Or if your looking at it from the point of view of someone who's never read the comic (obviously) then just think about it for half a second. While we aren't as powerful as mutants, the odds are quite in humans favor. They don't even have to kill all the mutants, just a few like magneto. Also, with one bad really powerful enemy you find a way to kill him and the stories over. If you kill the congress every non-mutant in america is going to be getting their shotguns and going witch hunting.
Over all I really hope you'll get a good job one day, so you can afford some mental help, your cynical and depressed view of everything must make your life quite miserable. Try smiling it does the body good:)
No one says I have to, but no one says you have to read Jon's stories either. Yet out of the kindess of their hearts they let you stop them from showing up. Which would be nice for posts as well.
The more of sig11's posts I read the more it reminds me of JonKatz. I wish there was an option/way to exclude posts from people, as well as the lovely options to stop stories by people. Slashdot is quite a bit more appealing with out Jon's stories, and with out posts from sig11 it could only be better.
I started using proxomitron to filter out doubleclick and other such services. It also comes with handy filters to stop pop-ups, locked sites, and alsorts of other handy stuff give it a try.
This story reminds me of something JonKatz would write. Maybe there is a good part to the article, but I couldn't get past the abviously sensational ideas, and thoughts that will grab some morons attention to find the substance of what he was getting at.
And at one time everyone was sure that earth was the center of the known galaxy. Just because your sure now, who knows what new information we may get about the planets workings, and how life can evolve. Just a couple decades ago, it would be hard to believe that things can live around gas vents at the bottom of the ocean. I'd quess someone getting this thing too fly into the sun would be a safe bet.
Could something like this work on a "slow" motherboard. Ie and good stable pentium/celeron system that would just boot to linux, or some other extremely stable os. Then have windows, *bsd, *nix, or others running on cards? Then have the kernel limit who gets priority to the ram and other resources?
Not to mention since our blatantly telling the Govt. to shove it your in international waters I doubt they are going to be in a big hurry to save/help you when some pirates realise the value of the equipment onboard.
If not I'd have to also suggest we get rid of these silly doctors and hospitals to, cause if you can't save all the people it just makes it to hard to save the rest of them.

However, I think he already knows your devilish plan
Nothing FreeBSD+NAT can't fix :)
In geek speak that means he's doing exactly what you just said.

Err mineral oil I mean :)
BTW I think mineral spirits will do a very similiar job, and alot cheaper then flourinet.
But front lines of wars are usually very small.
Its a war of attrition that they would have won quite easily.

I know what your talking about at least :)
Eeek I knew there were soup nazi's but grammar nazi's who'd a thunk it...

when he's not debating a caffeine-induced hallucination. Greg, head of tech support, can't believe his customers questions
Should have been

But then I'm bad with english so that may still be written wrong.

I don't think they logged ips, just user names of people with metallica. However it is still a bot.
