There really aren't Republican or Democrats with any side on issues. As Hilary starts to prepare herself for a presidential or vp run she is doing what all candidates do: she is trying to appear incredibly moderate without a point of view on anything. Therefore, she cuddles up to the parasites of the world like Falwell and Buchanan in small steps that she hopes won't alienate her present supporters. Nothing to see here folks, just another politician without a single side to issues who is only in it for herself. I hate her.
Everyone here seems to assume that the mail that he had was between him and another person. He could have addressed the emails to himself as a journal intending to reread the mail once he returned home. In that case, the family would never have read any of the stuff that he had sent himself. That said I don't think they have any rights to what is in the account. Someone should have done something to safeguard the emails since they all knew he was in a dangerous situation. There is some personal responsibility and he accepted the Yahoo terms of service so unfortunately they should all be out of luck. I still feel very bad for the family though.
First of all, I have a CS degree with math and spanish minors, and I'm 25. I have about 4 years of experience after college. I can honestly say that I don't have as much interest in computers after work, but I also feel that when a project is interesting I definitely enjoy it. What you will realize in the real world is the number of meetings and phone conferences cut into the time that you are really doing what you enjoy. That's life. Maybe you will find the perfect job for you and there will be little of the typical office politics and terrible customers, but it's not all that likely. If you're still in college my best advice is to find stuff you're interested in outside of computers, and go meet people. Spending too much time in front of the computer will waste some of the best years of your life. College to me was as much about life lessons and how to be self-reliant as it was about how to avoid dangling pointers.

I couldn't disagree more. As a coach, I can tell you that just taking the best players doesn't usually work in the sports world and there exist a ton of valid comparisons to the business world. People throw around concepts like leadership, balance and hard work, but those are the things that make a team run smoothly. Sometimes having those two 'A' players translates to arguments and bickering since very rarely do two A players know anything about making the players around them better.
I'm sure some people are sick of the crap. For that reason and that reason alone I haven't seen the third of the Matrix movies. The second was so bad and wasted all the creativity and slickness of the original. It's terrible to ruin good sci-fi movies with crappy sequels. I can just imagine someone making an awful remake of Dark City stretching the tale of the original as ludicrously as was done with the Matrix. Make a stand and don't see it or realize that we're all just fattening Lucas's retirement cash cow.
I just wonder how long the rest of the world will put up with this cancer that is the Middle East. Having produced nothing but danger to the rest of the civilized world in the name of religion they have little hope for ever being able to coexist peacefully with the rest of the world. They have lived since the industrial revolution over black gold, and one of the most valuable commodities on the planet yet have produced nothing but religious hatred. I seriously doubt materialism will ever take hold there, so they're probably just doomed to be a burden on the rest of the world. Nothing is worse for the world than religious fanatics.
I see this as pretty blatant anti-Americanism seeping through. Their head monopoly buster has been reversed on several recent cases because in Europe a company can sue the government for lost income if a merger is wrongly not accepted. In addition, it's also possible that they will be sued for not accepting Honeywell's recent acquisition. If this were a European company, I doubt it would have gotten this far in the first place.
I can't disagree more. The only real way to draw attention to the awful nature of software patents is for the biggest players in the industry to be forced to stand up and take a stand against them. This is probably the best thing to happen, and as an added bonus it will hopefully kill Flash.
Good riddance.
What about settting up a non-profit and a regular company? The regular company sells the non-profit the cds, and the non-profit lends it out sort of the way a library does with the users paying shipping + administration. I'd compare it to NetFlix and avoid the problem that for profit lending of cds is illegal. Meanwhile, the distributor has enough of a markup on the cds that they can make a substantial profit at the same time. Does anyone else think there is a way this could work?

They get in the way a lot less when you deflate them.
